He was beating Diaz up and busted him up, but he gassed which I can only attribute to the extra weight. At that point Diaz took advantage and credit to him.

Warning to other fighters though, don't jump 25lbs in one go and throw power shots constantly.

He didn't gas, Mcgregor landed the harder shots in round one but don't act like Diaz wasn't landing the jab. Round 2, Diaz caught him with a left and Mcgregor never recovered.

The excuse that mcgreggor was fighting welterweight is nonsense.

Why? Nate diaz has had most of his recent career at 155 lightweight. He was training for a triathlon not an mma fight. So on 11 days notice they agreed fight at 170lbs to avoid cancelling main event. Connor was gaining weight and isnt exactly a small featherweight. Diaz has superior grappling skills and a granite chin. Stylistically no one should be suprised diaz beat him.

Should've never jumped up two weight divisions...his self confidence got the better of him. The fact he took Diaz shot that wobbled him and lasted as long as he did was surprising, he's got a chin gotta give him that.

That's why there are weight classes! You can't just jump up to more than 20-25 pounds and believe that you won't get hurt if caught with a punch. Connor got humbled and was obviously talking about Mayweather to get more publicity...I mean who doesn't bring up Mayweather's name haha.

He looked noticeably gassed before Diaz landed anything remotely decent.

A minute before Diaz landed the good right hand, McGregor threw a 3 punches combination that was slow and had nothing on it, he gassed.

Diaz took the big shots, fought through the blood and, as always, his stamina was first class. A good chin and engine can take you a long way.

Power wasn't what did it. Ward said that the Diaz brothers are great boxers because they work with volume. Dude was doubling and tripling his shots and McGregor was being an idiot thinking he was showing off his chin. Then the dummy got stung and was out on his feet. Nate knows how to box and this dumbass can throw but the lack of head movement made his chin cheap plastic in the end.
