    155 = 164

    A catchweight is a catchweight, regardless of who holds a belt in whatever division. If you're going to demand a catchweight then you have no recourse to refuse a catchweight fight when someone who has more leverage than you demands one.

    It's beyond hypocritical for the Triple Duck to ask Ward for a 164lb catchweight in one breath only to turn around and refuse to fight Alvarez @ 155lbs. Anyone who would justify this type of hypocrisy only proves themselves to be a fanboi and nut guzzler...

        Yeah, I never understood that hypocrisy.

        Fighting at a catchweight for a belt isn't new. SRL did it and nobody gives a fck.
        It's wrong, but I just don't get the double standard.

              It's not really a catchweight if one fighter fights at that weight every fight.

              Catch weights should be a sacrifice for both fighters to make a super fight happen. 155 is a ridiculous request, especially considering Canelo wanted to fight the smaller Cotto at 156.

                  Dude, it's still a catchweight.

                  This fake outcry that it is bad for the sport and whatever is complete crap. It has been done multiple times throughout decades of boxing.

                    No it hasn't not one fight in history has conducted himself in this way. Not one fighter after becoming champion or before has had 5 fights back to back at one weight outside the division limit.

                    The outcry has little to do with the catchweight itself but Canelo using his power and influence to fight a weight he feels good at. He doesn't want to make the sacrifice others do to make 154 and is avoiding guys his size at 160.

                    This is the exact opposite of how catchweight were originally used. Use to be smaller guys asking for them to fight bigger guys. But now we have a bigger guys using them to fight smaller guys.

                    If you can't understand than the point is lost on you.
