And what offers from A list opponents has he ever had?
Apart from one to fight Andre Ward, at some unspecified time further down the line, which came after he had already signed for Lemieux and was hoping to fight the winner of Cotto/Canelo after that.

GGG coming at 154 vs. Mayweather is taking a hit but he is fighting a guy who has to move up so 147 fighter and 160 fighter meeting in the middle. In this case its a 160 figher who drains to 155 because he is used to it who is the same size or bigger then the older champion and asking him to go down to his weight... not even in the middle. its not a situation of one fighter lowering his size advantage to make a fight, its a situation of one fighter draining himself to meet demands of another fighter his own size. If they made this fight at 158 i think i would support it, I don't think we will see a 75% GGG he will still be close to 100% but than again i don't know how tough it is to cut those last few lbs.
no body was saying he'd be drained if he fought Mayweather at 154, so whats the difference now...people were going nuts over it happening last year or later on this site.
If he wants to be the star he'll make the sacrifice...if he wants to collect all the belts, he can wait for canelo to get stripped...not impressive when 2 out of 3 your titles are handed to you....he is gonna have to fight Canelo at 155 or forget about it...He needs Canelo a lot more than Canelo needs him....Canelo can make welters and super welters fight at 155 for a nice price and they'd ablige

if you feel like Canelo isn't draining himself then why the **** is he not fighting at 154? why is he doing 155... its not a division, its nothing, its just the lowest weight he can make without harming his ability too much where he still has a size advantage vs. everyone he faces. Who has Canelo ever faced that was bigger than him?

Canelo has never faced anyone bigger than him...the point is, Canelo is the star and calls the shots...GGG's team and his hard core fans have to realize this or just STFU about the fight.
Like I said before...GGG needs Canelo...Canelo will make good money with or without GGG...it sucks....I'd rather they fight at 160, but Id also rather see them go at it @ 155 than not at all...2 reasons why
1)First time Canelo wont be the bigger man
2)First time GGG fights someone who is considered an elite fighter, skillwise.
3) We'd have an undisputed champion...sorry WBOgus titleholder...he not fighting anyone with a pulse any time soon

if you want to make the money and get the notoriety...it would have been his fault but he was smart enough to fight him at a reasonable catchweight and it couldve been at 150 at an earlier time.
GGG's team wants him to be a star without having to pay dues like everyone else, and sadly no one is going to allow that to happen except HBO....the other fighters teams, networks and the fans are getting a little worn out with the mismatches and no name opponents for GGG...he doesnt have many good options

This statement makes little to no sense. You wouldn't fight him at 168 but will be more inclined to fight him if he beats the best fighter at 175? His team just needs to stfu.

2) perpetuating the "he is the star he should call the shots" is whats wrong with boxing and why big fights don't happen.
3) and what if Canelo wins and defends his belt against every middlweight fighter at 155... is that what we all want?
I want for this fight to happen as much as you do if not more, and i want it to be done right. If GGG wins and starts demanding 168 lbs coming to 161 i would call bull****, no one should support that and fans like you make these Diva's feel like they have the right to make a mockery of the sport. No other professional sport does this as far as i know... only boxing.
