The best LHW in the world, and a top 3 P4P fighter(Kovalev #1 in my eyes). Nothing in Abel(who says he has a say in GGG's business)K2's behavior tells me that would actually happen. Best case scenario is they will act like they want Ward, but tell him to come down to 168, or low ball him just to say 'look, we tried, he wouldn't budge'.
Sorry, why the hell should Golovkin go up to 175 against an unpopular fighter younger than him?

If everything flows according to plan (and that's a huge if), this fight would be marketed as the best fighting the best. In that case, I absolutely believe the fight offered will be at 168.

If you have a problem with GGG/Ward at 168 in the next 2 years, you're either a fanboy of one or a hater of another.

Absolutely ridiculous. This ship has sailed. I don't know why he's still bringing it up. This is just as bad as Billy Hoe Saunders saying to Eubank "Fight GGG and then I will fight you" or Quillin saying "If GGG is so good why don't he try out 168."

At 168 huh, calling me a fanboy. Look in the mirror after saying that post.

If they both win their big fights, I'm convinced Ward/Golovkin will happen, I've said it many times on here.

Financial wise this fight will be huge, unlike it'd be now.

And at the end of the day, it's all about money.

People who criticize GGG's camp for not taking the Ward fight are some dumb ass ****.

Why would he take a high risk, small money fight against a guy naturally two weight classes bigger and risk losing his zero and the big money fight versus Canelo? It makes absolutely no sense for his career.

If Ward beats Kovalev maybe he becomes a draw and the money will be worth the risk for GGG.

            Think this through people.

i would disagree, the ship has never sailed. If ward Beats Kovalev (big if) and if GGG beats Canelo (big if... because the fight might not happen) then what's stopping these two from negotiating. If Mayweather and Paquio was made then any fight can be made, and that fight took 5 years to make so i am sure that next year if the things talked bout happen this fight isn't as far fetched as some of you think... its like Ward made an offer, and was rejected... and thats the end it can never happen again... how many offers did Floyd make to Paquio and vice versa?

each fighter will make 5-10 million if they fight each other after they accomplish the things that were talked about and that would be the biggest pay day for each of them.

It brought in enough money for Loeffler to be able to make a $3 million offer to BJS, which is more than Ward has ever earned for a fight.
Ouch, Ward promoters are making a loss each and every time they pay him nobody cares about him at least, Loeffler is running his business in a profit first fashion so things won't go belly up.

I doubt Kovalev beats Ward, but you're right, with team g strings reluctance to fight quality opposition, he will remain undefeated forever and be fondly remember alongside Butterbean. No ATG status, no HOf, no large paydays.

Team GGG never wanted to risk fighting Ward...they'd fight anyone else at 168, but they wanted 164 for ward......said they'd fight floyd at 154 but wont fight Canelo, who is a big star and would be his highest payday by far, at 155...would be great exposure for him

the fight wasnt realistic then and it isnt now, unless GGG is willing to move up

Also what I find funny is the fight is realistic if he beats arguably the top light heavyweight in the world, in the meantime, who will GGG be fighting?? The Rosado's and Wade's of the world and continue to rack up wins over mid level competition or will they finally face a legitimate threat or elite fighter to build his following....fans arent ******...we know his competition isnt all that for all his hype.
