How about Canelo just moving up to 160? Otherwise, he's the one who's not trying to make the fight.

I can't believe what I'm reading on here.

      It's sickening.

      **** what Floyd says.

No, GG should not have to drop to 155 to fight FOR THE LINEAL MW TITLE.

**** all of the "A side vs B side ****"

Anyone who advocates what Oscar, Canelo and the WBC are doing, are absolute morons.

Isn't boxing bad enough already, with 4 Org's, 17 weight classes, including Super and Silver champs etc?

Titles should not be fought at a CW.

Why should GG drop to 155, when Canelo can weigh 172 come fight night?!

      It's a disgrace.

      Some fans are absolutely ******!

As for Floyd fighting Oscar, how is that the same? Different circumstances altogether.

It's hardly surprising that Floyd advocates it anyway, after all the **** he's pulled in his career.

Bring back 15 round fights, same day weigh-ins, less divisions, with less Org's, and let's see boxing great again.

          Dear me!

How is that the same as asking GG to drop weight to fight for the lineal MW belt?

Poor Canelo, MW is too big for him, yet he's happy to wear the lineal strap and he weighs in as a LHW on fight night.

He's making a mockery of the sport.

Floyd moving up to JMW from WW and making concessions was not the same at all.

All these fighters were willing to take the risk necessary to claim and take the Glory they want, but GGG is not willing to do it. Go Home Coward YOU SCARED!

Roy Jones moved up from 54 to heavyweight, Ward moved up and will fight Kovalev. Moving up in weight to chase greatness is not a new thing, a lot of greats did it and GGG is not willing to take that risk as of right now, which puts him at a level that siginficantly below the atg level and he seems to be ok with that.
              What are you talking about?

Almost everyone of your examples has a fighter moving up to chase greatness.

Yet you're criticising GG for not moving DOWN to fight for the lineal belt?

You should be using your examples to criticise Canelo for not moving up, even though he weighs in as a LHW on fight night.

Canelo has moved into GG's pond, it's not the other way around.

                You idiot!

                This is what's killing boxing.

                He doesn't deserve a shot?

He's the mandatory for the lineal title.

GGG doesn't have to do anything he doesn't feel obligated to. He can wait for Canelo to settle into mw until he's good and ready for the fight. But as it stands, he's going to have to make some sacrifices in order to make a big fight and right now he and his team appear content to take on subpar opp while hoping that big fight falls in their laps on their terms. Not likely, although I agree that this fight can be made at a reasonable 157.
Why should it be made at 157?

It's only going to encourage the same behaviour from other fighters.

                  It stinks.

It shouldn't even be up for discussion.

If MW is too big for Canelo, he should have stayed at JMW.

Wasn't Floyd against CW's? What was it that he said to Cotto when he was talking about Pac vs Cotto? Or was it more bull**** he was spewing?
