The first two voluntaries were fought BEFORE the mandated negotiation date of september and they were just tune ups to get Wilder's right hand ready, or to confirm whether he was ready or not (he was coming from surgery after Stirvirne and was supposed to be out for six months according to his surgeon).
Then guess who stalled negotiations and forced the WBC to postpone them by one month from october to november? Come on, I dare you, take a pick....
Yes, damn right it was the duck Povetkin who chose to fight in November against Wach even though he knew that negotiations for Wilder were supposed to start in October.
And then after Dehaupus in september, Wilder explains that his hand was only at 65 percent against Molina (he threw more left hooks and left jabs in that fight than any of his 35 bouts, by a large margin too, and conversely, threw the least right hands out of any of his bouts, by a large margin also.), and 95 percent ready against Dehaupus (both fights fought before negotiation mandate).
Surprise surprise, Povetkin asked for another extention after Wach, confirmed both times by the wbc pres that Povetkin is the one delaying the bout, said he couldn't fight in January and would have to fight in April or May.
Wilder ONLY THEN, after POVETKIN asked for an extention, asked for a voluntary on the January date that he was supposed to fight Povetkin.
Funny thing about Povetkin is that he was so adament about fighting Wilder when HE KNEW that Wilder's right hand was not one hundred percent, then as soon as he realises that Wilder's hand will be fully recovered by the time they fight, he asks for extentions and takes voluntaries that will directly affect mandated negotiations, but Wilder is ducking doe.
