No I'm just profane. So did NSAC just forget to add IVs to the exempt list? They have a list of approved medications or injections. IV rehydration is not on the list.
There is good reason why IV rehydration is not allowed under most drug protocols. It can be sued to mask PEDs and in weight classification sports like boxing it allows competitors to cut more weight and rehydrate back up beyond what is naturally possible. This is dangerous for both fighters that is why its not allowed.
The UFC is cracking down hard on IV re-hydration right now. Its not fair or safe for a middleweight to cut down to 147 then use IVs to rehydrate to 165.
