    Bought Fights

Martin fought a Cuban from Miami that was schooling him, then a few rounds later, the cubans corner didnt answer the bell. Clearly bought fight for Martin. As far as AJ. He is the better athlete and bigger puncher. Id be surprised if AJ didnt stop Martin.

And the same for Parker, for the exact same reason.

Neither of those guys are ready to face the best in the division, and yet they would rightly be expected to after beating Martin, regardless of the circumstances.

If Joshua really is the goods, then there is no hurry, right?..... especially considering the vulnerabilities that McGuigan mentioned.

If he beats Martin, and then gets tipped over by Stiverne/Ortiz/whoever, his management would be rightly described as inept and would be a laughing stock for pushing him too quickly.

With a guy who is likely the real deal, you give him time because you can.
Every HW promoter learned from Kallie (Don't call me frank) Maloney with his handling of David Price. Threw him to the wolves in his 16th fight & the rest is history.

Don't fight for a damn Title until YOU'RE READY! Last think I would want is for Joshua to win a World Title then go back to fighting Weak Opponents then everybody will cry about that and turn on him and tell him how he needs to "STEP UP COMPETITION".

Let him continue to work his way up with NO SHORTCUTS! He only has 15 Damn Pro Fights WTF!
I got a dozen of Martin's fights & I still don't know much about him. The Glazkov fight didn't show us much but one thing for sure it looked like he was ready to step on the pedal after he realized Glazkov's punches were not very dangerous...

That's funny how you confused 'I know for a fact' with 'I think'.

Boxing has a tonne of fighters building up 20+ fights and not one single time have they been tested all the greats of the past era fight to prove themselves they fight with that gladiator mentality you go in the ring to prove your will AJ is in his late 20's If he isn't ready with his extensive amateur background and several fights he has had in his pros then when will he ever be ready.

Fans like you are what is holding the sport back just because someone takes a loss to this resume it doesn't mean that fighter is a bum, crap or not good enough it just means he was willing to test the waters sadly too many casual fans buy into that 0 being maintained actually meaning anything these are the fans who aren't educated enough hence casual not a term I like to use but it seems adequate.

Maybe McGuigan knows more than you do ?

Or do you find that highly unlikely ?

Wrong wrong wrong, Barry: Martin is there for the taking; first come, first serve.

Martin didn't stop Glazkov to win the title. Glazkov fell over with a badly injured leg early in the fight and retired hurt.
