You dont seem to understand how big a cash cow joshua is for hearn.

He is his No.1 guy no one brings numbers like joshua, he is a prospect who got rocked in his last fight, if that was any top 10 heavyweight, 9/10 of those heavyweights would of finished joshua in round 2 of the dillian fight.

he is a PPV star for 10 YEARS if managed correctly, there is absolutely no need to rush him...

Look at those rankings. Those are the only guys he'll be mandated to fight. Joshua should be ready for any of those guys. If he's not ready for their top 5 right now he won't ever be ready.

I first thought he we go Barry the promoter keeping fighters safe but actually he makes sense Martin is not the finished article and AJ could beat him in a 50/50 fight but then would be in a position as champion he would have to defend against top contenders and real threats with little time to polish his skills .

This is the IBF top 15. If he wins he'll have a year to make a mandatory defense. Which one of these guys do you think he won't be able to beat in a year? The no. 1 & 2?

Hearn told McGuigan to say this. This is nothing but promotion for the fight. When the fight gets made in a couple of days... Eddie Hearn will say "This is a massive test for Anthony, everyone from myself to the legends like Barry McGuigan are telling him to not take the fight just yet, but we know Anthony he is a warrior, and he believes that he can beat Martin in clinical fashion and make a statement to the boxing world"

Its so obvious, just at a time when Frampton&McGuigan were going to sign a carriage deal with Hearn, to feature on his cards!!!

stiverne is more of a danger than martin anyway, he's got more power. jennings has high volume, and chisora could rough house aj. The safe options are scott and was duhaupas but hearn was a bit slow in securing him.
