GGG last fought last fought October 17th, 2015. The Wade fight was just announced a week or so ago.

GGG has had several lengthy gaps where he had no opponent and no mandatory, and was "searching" for opponents outside his mandatory yet names like Lara and Jacobs, who just happens to be the #2 MW, were never mentioned.

    Please stop repeating these lies
The 'lengthy gap' in between it becoming clear that Canelo and BJS were unavailable, TJ injuring himself and another mando (Wade) being named was about 2 weeks. Just sayin.

And yes I do agree that GGG should be pursuing a top JMW like Lara or possibly Andrade in the absence of a decent MW, but can understand wanting to fulfil his title obligations. My own preference would be for GGG to start campaigning at 168 but with the possibility of the Canelo unification still remaining at 160 (or a CW) can't really blame him for waiting around.

HBO knows the rules: "Get down, or lay down!" HBO will be in a world of hurt if they want to be in the boxing business without Al Haymon.

You know why bro. There's no incentive for today's fighters to pursue challenging fights.

Look at Ward's HBO deal. He HAS to fight Kovalev so there was incentive for him to challenge himself or else he would still be fighting on BET.

GGG has no such incentive. He can fight stumblebums and get the full support of everyone.

GGG has the full support of everyone because he is sincere in his quest to unify the division, which in the four belt era has only been done by Bernard Hopkins.

If and when GGG gets all four belts, you'll be forced to go through him to make any money in the division.

GGG isn't ducking anybody. He's fighting anybody in his weight division willing to fight. What is there to complain about?

Your limited mind can't grasp it. Diva's like Ward have to be contractually forced to fight decent opponents, otherwise they will fight the Rod Salkas and Paul Smithes until retirement.

Real fighters like GGG just want to fight the best available opponent and wants to unify all the belts, no matter where he has to fight. If it was on GGG' terms he would have defeated Sergio Martinez, Canelo, Felix Sturm, Andre Ward, Carl Froch, Billy Joe Saunders, Peter Quillin and many others by now. He would probably be fighting at 168 and facing DeGale right now, if these other fighters would have the same mindest. Ward also ducked GGG when he got offered the fight at 168 in 2013.

There is no incentive for anyone with a network deal. It's bad enough they block tough fights. Now, with guys like GGG, they block fights/ do not approve opponents where he likely can't get a KO win.

As long as fans still watch this isn't going to change anytime soon.

name one good opponent HBO turned down for GGG.

(and not just your speculative opinion, but actual facts)

I wonder why HBO didn't push negotiation for GGG-Ward.
