In a perfect world, if boxing was the most important factor, then Kovalev and Stevenson fans would join together on this one and demand a shared broadcast.

you talking about career paths lmfao WHO THE FUCK CARES, we talking about Steveonson vs Kovalev and how the only reason its not happening is because of stevenson side doesnt want to play ball, kovalev team made all kinds of concessions already, team steveonson was consideringt he figth that they asked for an extension which was granted but ultimately said no HENCE why their is no fight.

Only reason thsi fight is not taking place is because Stevenson has turned it down, not once multiple times already.
once again like i asked you all before..prove that showtime doesnt have options on many of haymon's fighters...
hbo has options on several but if they dont want the fight they will let it be on other networks!
they just dont have the outreach that fighters managed by haymon do

Haymon, after years in the concert business, TV business, and over a decade in the boxing business, seems to understand the full scope of revenues available for any given fight, doing everything in his power to get his fighter the biggest piece of the biggest pie possible.

HBO, after decades of being the top broadcaster for boxing, resents the notion that they, the mighty HBO, would have to be subjected to bidding for a fight that they would like to.

HBO couldn't even offer to let Showtime re-air the fight, yet it's Team Stevenson that "doesn't want to play ball"? What concessions has Sergey Kovalev actually made to begin with?

a lot of you guys who talk all this "showtime dont have a contract" crap...
you boys need to look up "the right of first refusal, options, and contract restructuring"

showtime is not your mom and pop penny candy pusher...big wigs know the game..that is why promoting in the media never really does it for me unless the fight has no road blocks whatsoever like ggg vs ward didnt have any and ward called him lil G

A clandestine contract so secret that even Stevenson's long time promoter, Yvon Michel, didn't know about it?

Because if he did know about it, he would have at least mentioned it to Duva while he was negotiating terms with her, trying to make the fight, yeah?

This crap demonstrates how Haymon likes to do business, as if we didn't get it already.
