I can't disagree with this post at all.

Networks shouldn't have that much power or influence in a fight to begin with! HBO is the Mayweather if Networks, they want to dictate everything they don't care about the sport and giving the fans the best match ups, what they care about 1st is HBO and how does a fight benefit their Network

I hope nobody else signs with HBO Exclusively anytime soon because it is ZERO Benefits to signing to HBO Exclusively. In fact it seems to be keeping fighters from making Big Money

But what's the excuse on the other side? They don't have exclusives, yet refuse to fight on Hbo. Joint ppv lol.

BTW wheres this big money away from HBO? How many have made 2m for a fight? Look at Bradley, he's made like 3-5x more than his PBC peers

Said days turned into weeks and eventually he realized Stecenson had no interest in the fight. He then moved to Kovalev who also made an offer and HBO was willing to accept.

          This comes directly from Hopkins.

And your assessment hat Hopkins chose to Avoid Stevenson is beyond ridiculous. When has BHOP ever been afraid.
I wouldn't say afraid, but at his age you pick your shots a little more carefully, which he did.

Also, Hopkins is a slick, self-serving, spin artist. He would have made a good lawyer.

Stevenson hasn't been relevant since he left HBO and pulled out of the Kovalev fight. HBO invested lots of time and money into setting up a Kovalev/Stevenson showdown only for Stevenson to pull out last minute and join Haymon. Since then his stocked has dropped.

Remember folks!... This fight was all but done when Haymon lured stevenson away.

This is a lie. HBO failed to get the fight signed properly, as numerous sites and articles, including this one, have pointed out. Haymon saw a chance to f-ck up HBO's plans and took it. Of course we as fans got screwed.

this was 2014 and a there have been chances since to make the fight and HBO and Duva prevented it.

Well, we know why Haymon did this so if you want to pretend nothing caused him to do this, so be it. That was 2014. Since then, there was other chances to make the fight. Both sides have contributed to the fight not happening.
