Could anyone on Ward's resume hang with Kovalev?

The 24% KO percentage is misleading. Boxrec is calculating all 49 of Boone's pro fights, including his 22 losses and 4 Draws. This is how they got the 24% figure. 12 KO's of 49 fights is 24%. If you calculate only his wins his KO % is still a little low but it's 52% which is average.Darnell Boone must be the best worst boxer in the world. He gave three excellent champions, Stevenson, Ward and Kovalev all they could handle. Still his overall record is terrible with a very low KO percentage. He is a dangerous spoiler and whoever fights him better keep their guard up and not take him lightly. He might have one of his good nights.
Now yeah you might say, well the KO % is what are the chances of that guy knocking you out, win, lose or draw. But is that really a fair way to tell someone's power? I don't think it is.Comment

The point went over your empty head as usual. 50 year old Hopkins was not better than all of Ward's best victories. Does that make it easier for you?Comment

Everybody **** all over Ward 'cause he didn't stop Dawson from dropping down to 168 to fight for the SMW title. Even his fans acknowledge that Dawson was not at his best. So no. Not overrated.
Also, which fight did Andre win 'cause it was held in Oakland?Comment

Honestly, hed have a decent chance vs Wards best scalp Froch, who never fancied it. But poor way to make your point with Dawson, but at least you acknowledge it with this feeble backtrackingComment

How could anyone say that Froch couldn't "hang" with Kovalev. I haven't seen enough evidence from Kovalev to think that a fight with a prime Froch would be anything other than very tough, maybe 60-40 in Kovalev's direction. I think people get too caught up in the weight divisions, but in certain cases like this one that size probably wouldn't play much of a factor. Also the people who come to the conclusion that this is an easy fight for Kovalev do so because they think Froch is open and easy to hit and Kovalev destroys everything he hits, but boxing is not that simple. Froch has a huge mental game, he would actually probably jump on Kovalev early and ask questions of him, he would make Kovalev uncomfortable. Froch is the type of fighter that will go after you until you offer up something that stops him, he is not going to just let you into a fight unless you earn that right, Bute being the perfect example.
Froch can also **** and he is not afraid to swing at his opponent and that makes him very dangerous for anyone, Kovalev has not fought anyone on that level yet. The version of Hopkins he fought and Pascal 5 years removed from his prime are impressive wins, but not elite wins in my honest opinion. Even in his prime Pascal was not on Froch's level, and certainly not Ward's.
If you are saying that guys like Froch have no chance against Kovalev, even if they are 168lbers, that is a hell of a statement. You are basically anointing Kovalev as an ATG, and I am not sure I can agree with that just yet. I haven't seen this guy up against an elite prime fighter. Don't get me wrong, he has a good resume, but we need to see him against really dangerous fighters. i.e Stevenson, Ward. Those fights present very different problems but equally dangerous.Comment
. He as that extra something...guts ,toughness, will...that could give Kovalev some problems.
