Not sure if you are kidding or not but watching a fight with the volume up is nice..You hear the punches and other things besides the commentators..Any way,l watched on box nation and they said something that made a lot of sense.."How much can roach help him for two months when he has been fighting for 20 years"..

Who's has Roach ever improved? His prize pupil, PAC has fought the same way his entire career even before he got with Roach.

And I don't watch HBO fights with the volume up, too much bias for house fighter. They should bring back George Foreman because he would call them out on that B.S.

I was gonna say the same thing, people always do this though.... they select which losses are "high profile fights" and leave everything else out lol.

They do the same for Cotto, say he never won any of his biggest fights but I'm thinking didn't he beat a Younger and fresher version of Mosley, wasn't that a big fight???

Why stop at cruiserweight? Pretty much every great light heavyweight in history tried their luck at heavyweight. If Kovalev beats Ward, which I doubt. I'd love to see him toss his name into the new, exciting, wide open heavyweight division.

He's much too small to be a heavyweight. He's comfortably coming in under the LHW limit, and he'll be 33 soon. There's absolutely no reason for him to move up.

If an unbalanced, falling forward Pascal was able to initiate clinches you don't think Ward can and will if needed.

Let's not act like Hopkin's is a typical 50 year old...
His career got good when he was 40, the man is a freak. No one, I mean no one dominated him every single round like Kovalev has.

The funny thing is people think Ward is gonna be running away from Kovalev. Every big puncher he has faced he has stepped to them. He has even said numerous times that you don't run from big punchers but you step up to them and crowd them. Ward is gonna try to bully Kovalev when they fight and it will be Kovalev who will be looking to step back and box more. Mark my words.

Well most light heavyweights are too small to be heavyweights. That's why they're light heavyweights. But I can't think of a single ATG light heavyweight that didn't try his luck at heavyweight. And if Kovalev is a great light heavyweight, he should fall in line.

And if you read my post, it said "if he beats Ward", which I don't think he will. But if he does, where does he go? GGG sure as hell ain't gonna move up and fight him. There's no one at super middleweight that will excite the public. The cruiserweight division has always been pretty much ignored. So where does he turn for the next big fight?

And personally, I think he'd do fine at heavyweight. Maybe Ortiz is close from a skill standpoint. Who else? And I think he hits hard enough to make the big guys respect him. Can he overcome 6"+ of height that he'd be giving up to a lotta the top guys? Can he take a punch from a guy like Deontay Wilder? He may or may not become champ. But there's more than a few top 10 guys I love his chances against.

You actually believe Stevenson is the real champ? Stevenson doesn't even believe it... That's why he ran in the ring and yelled it while Kovalev non chalantly walked around thanking the crowd. Stevenson is as lineal a champ as Canelo. We all know who the real champ in the division is...except Kovalev has a better resume unlike GGG. Kov already collected all the scalps in the division while Adonis has been doing what? Changing networks to avoid a fight?

Kovalev dominated Pascal. I thought Pascal would have learned something from their first fight and try something desperate. I suppose he did do that a few times but I think he was really hurting every time he got hit. Looked like he just wanted to survive after the 4rth or 5th round.

Jean looked confident going into the fight but seemed to lose that confidence once he started getting hit and he was having a hard time hitting Kov. It looked like Pascal wanted to quit but Freddie saved face for him by being the guy who chose to end the fight.

Stevenson just made himself a little more relevant than he was before this fight by shooting his big mouth off when Kov was being interviewed. He hasn't fought anyone worth a damn in awhile. Is he planning on fighting a top ranked fighter any year soon?

I see what you are trying to say,but it comes across like you are very knowledgeable by the way you are describing how a fight with ward would be..You are 100% wrong,and not because what you said its nonsense but because the way you try to say things factual loses its point..Anyways,roach has the fame for being a great trainer,us,from the outside we think is because pacquiao he got that fame,but dont you think other fighters and managers know something we dont?..Dont you think that have more inside info and that is what make them look for him?..And to be honest,a lot of fighters go see him after a loss..And if you think,this would be an easy fight for either fighter(Ward vs Kovalev)you are wrong.
