I'm more than confident that if ward doe's face kovalev he gets beaten up......i'm not so confident andre ward even sets foot in the ring with sergey kovalev

No surprise, every time Pascal has stepped up he's either lost or drew. In high profile fights Pascal is 0-4-1

Fight should have been stopped after the 5th round... Pascal endured two more rounds of punishment.
It was scary to watch after the 4th cause Pascal has so much heart but he just could taken anymore.

The problem for Ward is that unlike Froch and all these other guys he fought is Kovalev's positioning and footwork. You think Ward is going to be able to catch every jab to initiate a clinch? Kov's jab is too long and way too strong. Ward IS faster, but he has more distance to cover. Kovalev isn't going to wing shots and let himself be smothered. He'll take a step back and hit you in the body if he cant land to the head. That's what makes him scary. His sense of distance and he doesn't lose himself in the fight. I would have said that Ward is more skilled before but Kovalev is skilled in a different, classic way.
With that being said, if Ward can get past the jab he wins the fight but I'm now convinced that Kovalev won't be beat by anyone who can't neutralize his jab. And I think Ward is going to try to initiate clinches from too far and will end up in a mid to long range boxing match and I'm not sure Ward has the style to out punch Kovalev.
If an unbalanced, falling forward Pascal was able to initiate clinches you don't think Ward can and will if needed.
Kov is going to be coming forward most of the fight, so watch when Ward steps off the line and close the distance with his feet. You can look at any of his previous fights.
Ward has seen Kovalev's style before (maybe not the power) but has Kovalev seen a style like Ward's. (And if you say a 50 year old Hopkins, I won't respond).
Watch the frustration set in from Sergey if the fight happens.
