Article also mentions Haymon.. we still have very limited amount of proof that Haymon fighters can co-exist on HBO.
I think this week with Adonis Stevenson insisting his fight with Kovalev be a Showtime/HBO joint ppv, despite not having a contract with Showtime is strong evidence that Haymon won't be allowing his fighters on HBO. If the hedge fund is drying up, he needs keep Showtime/CBS happy by staying loyal to them.

What's wrong with waiting till he's ready to move up, like Kovalev did with Ward?

The deal with ward he could of fought canelo in May or had him stripped and fought the next highest challenger in IBF rankings to fulfill mando obligations then took a bout in June July or whatever either taking a fight above 160 test his body out or fought WBC highest rated contender then ward third fight and returning to 160 win or lose to fight canelo right now he getting jerked around because cinnamon in b1tch mode and discussing fights that's going add fuel to fire of ppl calling him the can collecter

How long was he supposed to wait? Because it appears GGG is gonna be busy for awhile chasing guys that don't wanna fight him.

BTW, why can't GGG wait till Canelo's ready to move up?

Have you not noticed that Canelo is Wbc/lineal MW champ, ranked above Ggg by the Ring, ESPN, scene, tbrb. So what are you talking about, move up?

He wouldn't move up for Ward but he would for DeGale who is with Haymon? If that's the case why not fight Jacobs?
Fans will give him a pass though. HBO has taken a step back from last year already with the fights they have lined up.

Canelo is ducking GGG, GGG is ducking Ward. No Stevenson vs Kovalev because they don't want to do a joint PPV with Showtime.

About that. I don't need Ring mag or anyone else to tell me who's who. Canelo's resume is littered with top jr middleweights, has ZERO top middleweights, and he's never fought above 155. So anyone that calls him a top middleweight don't know **** about boxing.
