Ward is moving up. Something Golovkin is scared to do. If Golovkin moved up and fought an undefeated Cuban his fans would crown him GOAT.

I'm more of a Golovkin fan than Ward, but Barrera is much better than Wade. He has a legit amateur pedigree, has more experience (he's what, 6-7 years older?) and has demonstrated a legit pop in him.
Added to that, Ward may not be a SMW anymore, but he's never fought a legit LHW yet. This is a great first fight for Ward at LHW. Wade/GGG sucks. But I don't think that fight happens - Wade has little desire to face him and will accept a modest step aside fee.
I think the standards are a bit higher for Ggg, sorry alt. For example trying to fight then #1 active SMW, p4p rated Froch in the UK (!) Is considered a cherrypick
Only by folks looking to provoke GGG fans. I think most reasonable people called GGG out because he offered Froch the fight at 168lb but only offered the fight to Ward at 164lb even though they were both in the same division at the time...

Since I really don't give a shit about either.
But if me pointing out the thread starters obsession with it seems I do, that's fine.
GGG is the best MW in the world. The only guys I want to see him face in the foreseeable future at 160 is Jacobs and Canelo. I don't really care about a Lara fight.
If the IBF strap happens to be on the line if/when he happens to face them, fine. It's just another trinket for whoever the in-ring announcer is to yell out before the fight.
And I have never heard Buffer or Lennon Jr.yell out a Boxrec title before a championship fight, but your mileage might vary.

We have threads excoriating sanctioning bodies on here.
Here's one such example:
http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=700029
The belts don't really decide who is the best anymore.
I'm not going to shit on Golovkin for wanting to hold the 4 major titles as a goal.
But him not holding all 4 won't change my view of him as being the best in the division, with all the bullshit involved with the sanctioning bodies.
He fights and beats the best guys at the weight, titles be damned, he is the man. Goes for just about any fighter at any weight division, IMHO.
