May 31st is the deadline for Canelo to agree to fight Golovkin. Tureano would probably still be in PT and not cleared to even start sparring by then.

youre missing the point. Canelo-GGG negotiations have to commence in May for the Sept fight. If that doesnt happen, then Canelo gets stripped and GGG becomes full WBC champ.

There is really no scenario here where GB can keep the WBC title with Canelo yet still mess up GGGs IBF mando. It wouldnt work. And if GGG were forced to choose, he probably takes the WBC, which would leave Johnson fighting Wade or Ndam for the vacant IBF title for 50 cents on FS1 or something....

When is Ward fighting? Who is he fighting?
He wasn't ready to fight GGG before, he is not ready to fight GGG now and he wouldn't be ready to fight GGG until late this year...maybe.

If Golovkin could live up to his hype, he has the opportunity to beat his first world-class opponent while gaining some much-needed exposure and easily his best payday..... which would save him from being elevated and getting paid 0.

If Canelo is stripped, Golovkin will still be a paper champ with NO world-class opponents on his resume.
