Again I've heard no details besides vague ones like this to fully grasp the extent of his depth into the kickboxing world or his timeline in kickoxing vs boxing to fully give an opinion on that. When did he start kickboxing? How much time did he spend kickingboxing vs boxing? How many amateur kickboxing fights did he have? How many pro kickboxing fights did he have? Who did he beat, who beat him, in his pro fights? What titles did he win?

For example I know Holly Holm got into combat sports at all cuz of kickboxing, which she loved. She trained for a couple years before she had a few kickboxing fights before she ever turned to boxing. She's also trained at a MMA gym I believe her whole time as a boxer (for sure most of her time as a boxer) & would train in other styles of fighting well before she had a MMA fight.

boxing...fighting with hands...is literally human nature, and the sport has been around in many places in the world thousands of years bro

MMA is cool, i respect all fighters, but come on...Comparing MMA fighters are jacks of all trades, masters of nothing. Many of them couldnt make it to a high level in traditional full contact martial arts or boxing. Just facts.

Also Ray Mercer at over 50 Years old KOd 2 time UFC HW champ Tim Sylvia in the first round in an MMA match.

Name one MMA fighter that has gone to boxing and KO'd a former champ or current champ. Yet boxers have KO'd MMA fighters in MMA.

LOL you probably think Conor Mcgregor would be able to hang with Floyd in boxing, reality check Floyd has a better shot at KOing Conor in MMA than Conor does at KOing him in boxing. Floyd would KO conor in boxing easily. In fact Conor's boxing coach said Paulie Malinaggi would easily beat Conor at boxing.
Lucas Browne started out in MMA. Washed out after going 6-2, switched to boxing, and is now 24(21)-0 with his last win being a TKO over Chagaev for the WBA heavyweight title.

Also, Ray Mercer got choked out by Kimbo ****ing Slice. Not just choked out either, Kimbo ran an MMA clinic on him. Beat him up on the feet, then took him down and choked him out. Meanwhile, Tim Sylvia, being the dumbass he is, agreed to only trade hands with Mercer. He though it would kickstart his boxing career.

Various types of combat sport have been around for yonks. Forms of wrestling can be traced back to its roots in Greek mythology. Pankration was effectively MMA before this Jesus Christ fella allegedly came along.

MMA incorporates and allows for many forms of combat - so I see your "jack of all trades" comment. But to imply that these fighters are master of nothing is quite disrespectful. There are a number of fighters with phenomenal backgrounds in BJJ, Judo and all sorts, and can rightfully be considered at the top end of these sports.

A collection of talents under one rules banner, does not discount the individual abilities of the contributors.

For every one MMA fighter who never excelled in an individual sporting category - there is a boxer stepping in the ring who isn't a good boxer.

Comon bruh. 6-2? He's more a boxer than an mma fighter.

This fella asked the question, and he got an answer.

People should probably put arbitrary conditions on things before they try and be the man.

Absolutely not, Browne started boxing the same time as his MMA career.

The big dfference is Browne never beat anyone in MMA, Browne would not be able to hang in UFC. he started boxing and doing MMA around the same time (early 2009) If you factor in Am experience he's likely been training boxing longer. so I'd say he's not an MMA fighter that went to boxing, but more he did both and stayed with boxing. HE NEVER EVEN FOUGHT IN UFC. The people I mentioned KO'd Former or current UFC champions and where boxing champs at some point, Browne does not have a single decent win in MMA. It's not like he was an MMA fighter who just decided to go to boxing, he did them simultaneously, I'd even venture to say he was more of a pure boxer that also tried his hand at MMA.

Firstly, she knocked her out with a headkick, not a punch. Had Holm stuck to only boxing/striking the whole fight, Ronda may have eventually seized the moment and submitted her. Secondly, exceptional examples of boxers beating MMA fighters with boxing techniques do not guarantee this would be the outcome of every single case of a Boxer versus an MMA fighter. Thirdly, Holm lost her last fight in the UFC by being outstruck on the feet by Valentina Shevchenko, a chick with very, very little boxing experience outside of the UFC.

And yes, Conor has a chance of knocking out Floyd, albeit an extremely miniscule one. But almost anything is possible. He would certainly survive getting knocked out by Floyd, come on...
Conor would get KO'd dude. I think people get confused cause Floyd decisions Pac and Berto, but remember he KOd a PRIME Ricky Hatton. Ricky Hatton is a better pure boxer than Conor, Conor's own coach said today's Paulie Malignaggi beats him easily in boxing. Floyd could let his hands go and KO him easy. A prime Hatton would wreck Conor in a boxing match.

I agree he could KO Mayweather, but it's so unlikely like 100-1 odds even. I'd say Andre Ward has a better chance to KO Krusher than Conor would of Mayweather if they ever boxed.
