Why are so many pure boxers or former boxers picking Byrd over Wlad?

TOS doesn't have the hand speed or the southpaw style that was most effective for Corrie Sanders. Even with his amateur pedigree, he's still a slow, lumbering, hesitant fighter tha`t shouldn't have given Wladimir any problems. The thing that was giving Wladimir problems is that he was KTFO a few months earlier by Lamon Brewster, and wasn't willing to risk anything against TOS. But I believe that that fight should've been ruled a draw.

Castillo beat the **** out of a rejuvinated Michael Moorer for almost every single round in their fight.

He was also a highly regarded Cuban prospect. He wasn't cut out to be a heavyweight.....but you have to call it like it is.

Wlad gave him a shot to make a name for himself.

Wlad has never been good at cutting off the ring man. I'm not sure if you're very familiar with his old fights...but that's certainly not one of his better facets.

TOS is faster footed than he is obviously. He's a damn cruiserweight and was running from a bigman....and when I mean running. Running.

Castillo did the same exact thing. He ran away from him for three rounds....the first right hand that Wlad threw made him disco dance because it almost killed him.

It's not easy to pump a jab against a guy who is running straight back and away from you.

I have a serious question about this. While most people seem to be expecting another dominant performance by Klitschko, myself included, so many purists in boxing, whether current or former champions, are picking BYRD to win!! Among them are Roy Jones Jr., Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Lennox Lewis. Now here's where the serious part comes in. Do they want Byrd to win or do they truly think he will? I wouldn't bet 10 bucks on Byrd to win this fight, but these guys think he's going to win. Call it racism or whatever you want, but I gotta know why you think they're picking Byrd.

I think becuz they know Wlad's chin is the worst in boxing.

I never said that Wladimir was Tyson when it came to cutting off the ring, but WTF? He didn't use his jab against TOS effectively enough, and he didn't throw long punches in the instances that TOS was moving straight back. TOS is not Muhammad Ali, he lacks the athleticism to effectively move around the ring. Wladimir should've executed TOS in 2 rounds if he was on his game. Wladimir didn't make the proper adjustments and take advantage of what he was supposed to.

Byrd hit Golota with as many clean punches as anyone could ever hope to land in a fight and never dropped him once. Byrd has no chance in hell.
