The problem here is GGG wants that big fight. Being handed the belt won't be enough. He's going to have to cave if Canelo insists.

I hope he doesn't cave, dude needs to make a stand. I'm not gonna lie, I feel he'll cave, these fighters don't stand for anything nowadays, it's all about the money.

I think they'll end up negotiating for 157 or 158. Team GGG will take that for a larger piece of the pie than they'd get if it was at 160.

like I said, as boxing fans we have to start cutting and chopping the fables....is Nelo trying to gain an advantage by draining Lil G?!?...ABSOLUTELY!!...forget the political and technical loopholes...let's be openly honest about this ****

Lil G asking Ward to drop to 164 was a "Drain Move" as well....but through robotic nerdy intuition, excuses get passed around as justifiable reasons....sprinkled with a bit of political correctness for the zombies to feed off of and you'll see a bunch of cats posting "Ward is a LHW, he should fight Krusher"

Lil G tried to come in Ward's neighborhood and take Ward's money...Froch and Jr are Ward's hoes....so Ward being the pimp that he is, had to put Lil G in his place by calling him out and punking him...so Lil G countered with a bunch of nothing and a CW that would drain Ward....bottom line, reading between the lines or whatever, HE DIDN'T WANT NO PARTS OF SOG!!!!...period!!

Now karma is biting him in his own neighborhood where he's the so called baddest dude on the block....the boogeyman, the Debo, the Mr. 97k of the MW division is getting drained by a Young Talented SUPERSTAR who don't give a damn about the belt or Lil G

Pac fights Hoya at 147 and Cotto at 145....but Marquez is the one who had the most success against him and iced him....he wasn't drained

Nelo gets washed by Floyd at 152....but Cotto and Chino gives Floyd hell at 154 and 147....they wasn't drained

Pac and Floyd been flexing A side muscle just like ALL the top draws before them...Nelo is next up, and he's flexing his A side muscle just like the greats have done...just like Lil G tried to do to Ward.....it's that A side bs, and depending on which fighter is flexing the muscle, it will get defended or bashed by a CERTAIN group

one minute they support it, the next minute they're against it

Golovkin is a nuisance. Talks a big game but creates roadblocks when it's time to make the big fights happen. How does this guy still have any fans?

dude theres nothing wrong with fighting at the middleweight limit for the middleweight championship lol. He doesnt need to justify this at all.

canelo can drop the belt.....the belt is worthless tbh(it's been on the line for a cw for the last two fights) and he is bigger than the belt. ggg would be left with facing the bums at 160 if he doesn't want to play ball.

I've never seen the bigger fighter demand a catchweight below the limit before.

Man haven't you guys learned by now that the WBC has zero power in forcing Canelo to do anything to make a fight? GGG can play hardball, have Canelo drop the belt and pick it up for peanuts compared what he would make fighting Canelo. The guy is going on 34 years of age, this is really his last shot at a big payday. After his last PPV numbers HBO isn't going to invest in a PPV date unless its against Canelo.
His choice, collect belts that are paperweights in a few years but take the moral high ground or due his duty as the B side and accept the terms given to him.
I predict GGG will be a "good boy" and take the 155 limit and the fight happens before the end of the year.
