For K2, this is like fishing. They're trying to be patient in hopes of snagging the big trophy - Canelo & the WBC/lineal title. So far, Canelo/GB haven't completely ran off, so there's still hope of catching them.

I think GB regrets running Lemieux into Golovkin and running Alvarez into Mayweather. Neither of those fights were competitive and would've benefited both competitively and financially by delaying them a little longer. I think we'll see Canelo weight drain a MW like Heiland (lol) or Rosado in May, then rematch Cotto in September saying Golovkin won't come down and a Cotto rematch is worth more.

Exactly. And up to now I've been fine with them chumming the water hoping for that bite, because otherwise it just gives the "but but but paper champ didnt win title in ring doe" idiots ammunition. But for me, Sept is the end of the road. If Canelito wont do the fight in Sept, its time for K2 to say "ok enough is enough already, hand over the belt"..........

Eventually Canelo will need to move up to 160 at which point he'll have given up alot of his current leverage over Golovkin who will completely own 160 at that point.

Canelo's a ppv money maker right now, but will he hurt his market value if he continues without any dangerous opponents? If he stays at 155 and doesn't fight J-Rock, Andrade, or the Charlo's, how serious are his fans going to take him?
I'll be PISSED!!! Keith Thurman is a pretty big boy and hits hard. He could make a CW easy.

      Shawn Porter as well.

As far as "Dangeorus" the Charlo's boys are WAY better than Saunders and Grand Tureno. And also Jacobs for the time being.

Alvarez makes 155lbs because he's 25 years old, not because he's smaller than the average MW. Fact is, the last time Alvarez tried to make 154lbs, he missed the weight and never tried again.

BOTH can be equally as dangerous and ******. The fame and the $$$$ is why most do it. GGG is the only guy I've seen in a long time sit and squat all throughout their entire career at one class. Even WORSE is how many weight classes there are nowadays...

I do give credit though going from MW to SMW is like going up 2 weight classes. You wanna see some funny sht??? Go back and watch some Chris Bryd fights! That dude had some STONES!!!!

That would hurt GGG career more than Canelo. NO one is going to give him good PPV buys at MW not named Cotto or Canelo. I would PAY to see him fight DeGale or Dirrell though...Jacobs after a few more fight but not in 2016 on PPV.

Not this **** again. This fight ain't never gonna happen. This fight is quickly becoming like Stevenson vs Kovalev to me. Neither side seems all that interested in either of these fights really.

GGG gonna be too old to win his career defining fight by the time he gets it.

This guy blew smoke up everyone's ass with that 154-168 tough guy talk...."b...b..but he said that three years ago" and then turn around and try to justify Ward dropping to 164 by using a comment he made THREE YEARS AGO about dropping to 160 for Floyd.....yeah mutha****as, I'm keeping score and following every damn round....hypocrites in plain sight

Before Floyd picked Berto for his last fight, Lil G was STILL saying he could make 154 for Floyd....so what's the problem with 155 for Nelo?!?...there's a "politically correct" life raft floating in the DEEP waters that dudes tend to jump on when asked this...."it's for the 160 belts so the limit should be 160"....yeah yeah we KNOW all that....but strip down and take off the "masks"

154 is cool for Floyd because Floyd is a small dude who probably can't hurt Lil G....155 is not cool because Nelo is a strong Young Lion who can punch and it's possible he'd ice Lil G at 155...a weight Lil G is foreign to....is that the case?!?...I mean, WITHOUT jumping on the life raft....let's get deep!!....under all the "thou shalt play fair" holy bs, that's the reason right?!?...Floyd is not a big puncher but Nelo is

Pac vs Hoya was at 147...Pac vs Cotto was at 145.....Floyd vs Nelo was at 152....Floyd vs Cotto was at 154.....and those are the cats that get ranked 1 or 2 of the era....Nelo is just following the footsteps of the ATG "A" sides....
The problem with all those fights you're talking about is that none of those were mandatories for the title. GGG is the mandatory for it, so it's either do the fight at the limit or get stripped. It's that simple. Unfortunately for Canelo, because the WBC has been so adamant in the news about GGG being the mandatory, they have to force it or GGG and team can sue.
