Al Haymon/PBC are doing their fighters a grave disservice.

I do contend that there could be issues with having a figurehead due to the concerns with a violation of the MAA. I think you could open a bigger bag of worms by having Richard or Paulie (I love the idea of Paulie having this sorta job btw, good idea) talking about Wilder vs Povetkin for example going down on Apr. 30 @ the MGM Grand & promoted by TGB Promotions & then the media goes to talk to Tom Brown (TGB Promotions head) & he don't know wtf is up with that fight lol.

I think there is a ton of miscommunication among PBC people is a bigger problem to fix first. Just the other day Jose Pedraza's people thought he had a fight on Feb. 20(?) only to find out that his next fight is going to be a month later & the guy was already in training camp ffs. That shouldn't be happening. Zero excuse for it. And maybe the biggest PBC fight thus far, Thurman vs Porter with a date still TBD, has bad PR right now cuz the Porter's, who are down with PBC & Haymon, are in the media saying all sorts of negative **** or just confused with their situation type ****. That shouldn't be going on either.

So maybe they need to get all those types of things in order before they open themselves to even more damaging scrutiny with bigger eff ups that having a figurehead could bring.
Well the position he needs filled is not a 100% figurehead role, the person basically needs to get everyone on the same page and pulling on the same rope. Then explaining to the public why this is the direction they are pulling in.

Keeping everyone involved on the same page would just be a part of this role really.

Doesn't matter as long as he is putting out fights, buying the media is not always the way forward, when you have nothing to hide then you don't need the media to twist the dumb masses for you, not saying they shouldn't get anyone in but putting on good fights should be their priority.

Yeah it wouldn't hurt to have that guy that can address some of the question the Boxing Media and Fans have about PBC. I thought Schaefer was going to be that guy, maybe that Settlement with GBP is keeping that from happening right now I don't know but yeah that wouldn't hurt.

Seems like this is by design though which is why they eliminated the Entourage and all that extra unnecessary stuff. Probably want it to be 100% About The Fighters

Nobody complains about PBC fighters only rogue figures in the industry posting on forums or conflict of interests networks that dive on metrics and irrelevant combat scenarios.

PBC is far from worrying about anything, especially when B+ elite fighters are happy and not complaining.

That's the way I feel about this whole thing, I don't need the media to tell me a promoters intentions, I can read between the lines. All that spin doctor sh3t should be left alone to Politicians or the Bob Arum of these world. Boxing is going to a new era when all these old farts are long gone and what we don't need is the old school way of buying the media.

but he doesn't answer any questions about how he runs his business or why he does certain things, etc...he's scared to death of criticism it seems. putting lara in the middle of nowhere in front of empty arenas, making comical matchups, giving away thousands of tickets, turning down career high paydays for his fighters even though he's supposed to do what is best for them. he doesn't want to be criticized so he hides. no accountability. the pbc motto

No Haymon is the king of elite network business via Broadcasting. The reason he can't be apart of what you normally see in boxing promotions is because of the Ali Act. If you think Producers can just afford Primetime slots practically then that's funny.

They really do need a head guy, someone that talks to the media all the time for promotion and to just talk about the PBC and everything that's going on. Without one everything feels like a mystery.
True. Three issues really stand out. When Tarver tested positive for steroids, Figueroa missed weight against DeMarco and no one knew what the contracted weight was, and the Broner/Porter rehydration clause. Nobody was there to answers questions. They just allow rumors to fly and it becomes true.
