It is a tough fight for Povetkin because Povetkin is an outside fighter with no real inside game, it is hard to beat a guy outside if he out ranges you by a lot. It is not impossible but it is hard to get to the perfect spot while the bigger guy has margin for error. If Povetkin had real inside skills he would stand a much better chance at beating Wilder but that is not his game at all, so he has to be very good if not near perfect on that night to come out on top. If Povetkin had any sort of good defense that would also help.

Jennings is no bum, btw. But he's limited because he took up boxing so late and isn't big enough for his natural strength and athleticism to be enough against the top dogs.

Wilder took up boxing late. He won a bronze medal with barely any amateur background and beat a fighter for a title in the pros. Again.... He took up the sport late. So why the hate for wilder and the love for Jennings?

I didn't watch the whole fight, I'm not a masochist! But I watched the stoppage. Stiverne was stunned by a punch and lying on the ropes taking shots without firing back or defending himself properly and the ref jumped in and rescued him.
