Pointless blaming the guy when no one top fighter wants to step up. It's like blaming an ugly person why no one wants to date him/her.
Why do people bash GGG on his resume?

i don't think it was a particularly flattering look for them to offer a fight at 164 for andre ward when you're willing to fight more lucritive fights against 168 lbers at the limit. you will not see me saying that.
you have to also recognize that golovkin spoke little or no english during the period when his handlers were making the claim that he'd fight at 168. golovkin's words were that the "weight was easy," if you care to look around for the soundbite that gets him wrongfully crucified. the rest of the rhetoric has come from from his promotor and actually his trainer, if you look at the articles and press releases.
ward's a much better opponent than froch and chavez, and he brings less money. that's obvious. he's also a 175 lber now.
to address the bold; golovkin, a MW, is given crap for not fighting SMWs. he's not some young, growing kid. he's been a middleweight for 10 years, and he's in his 30's now. these are the same guys who will defend their guys staying to "clean out a division."
it's an odd look.
it's obvious that golovkin and alvarez are being groomed for a fight in late '16 or '17 now. prior to that golovkin's team looked like they were waiting around for floyd mayweather, which was obviously a pipe dream. ward's at 175. you want a middleweight to go to 175, now? fight guys like gonzalez and beterbiev, who probably walk around at 200+ lbs?Comment

You'd be surprised how comforting it is to stick your head in the sand like an ostrich and tell me the sky is red, when it clearly is not!
these guys get ****** and band together for confidence

Ward is the only top fighter they have in mind. He didn't step up. He just blew smoke. A guy with the wealthiest promoter in the sport, ROC could have offered the juiciest offer in the world that could have been hard to refuse.
Yes, only the P4P #2 can beat the guy who they claim as a mere bum. LOL. Even that is ******. A bum can only be beaten by the #2 P4P. Not even in his division. He has to move up. The standard is very high for a mere bum. LOL.
Good analogy, btw. I was trying to come up with a more appropriate one. Couldn't come up with one. It's so unnecessary.Last edited by jqSide; 12-25-2015, 07:41 PM.Comment

Let's be frank or a moment, Cotto had no interest whatsoever in fighting GGG.
I always said Cotto should have vacated right after Martinez, instead he chose to keep the belt for leverage in the Canelo fight. However, whatever the outcome, Cotto wouldn't have fought GGG under any circumstance (can't even blame Cotto for that).
I hope Canelo will fight him, but GGG's resume stays poor and he only has himself (his team) to blame.
They chose to chase an impossible fight against a former 140lbs at the end of his carrer, instead of using their mando status to get the belt and move forward.
GGG's team act as if Cotto is either delusional, suicidal or both thing at once. That fight had 0% chances of happening.Comment
