Nobody rates Jacobs high......the MW division is extremely weak. A whole lot of bums top to bottom with the exception of maybe two fighters. As for fighters duckong him, let's not act as if GGG fought every fighter in the top 10, it would actually put him up with monzon and hagler. His resume is trash because he decided to play it safe.

MW is a good division, one of the best really. No other division had 8 of the top ten fighters face each other in a single year let along in just two months.

People give to much praise to divisions with fighters that aren't fighting. Of course everyone looks world class when their fighting guys ranked well out the top ten.

People consider Porters resume good and but its no better than GGG's.

this is absolutely ridiculous. absolutely ridiculous. a really, really ****** thing to say. golovkin is the most avoided fighter in boxing. he's so good that people give fighters a pass for avoiding him at 160, and demand that he goes to 168 [or else it's a duck!]

Really? So who demanded that he go to 168lbs for Froch or Baby Chavez? As I remember, Team Triple Duck wanted those fights and, in the case of Froch, they still do. Why is it that 168lbs is ok for Froch and Baby Chavez but NOT for Andre Ward?

I've bashed GGG in the past but in recent times ,18 months or so, he has fought Macklin, Geale, Murray and Lem, these are the leading mw contenders of his day,

None of those guys were in the top 3 when Bumlovkin fought them. Therefore, they are NOT the "leading mw contenders of his day" as you assert.
