We are talking about pull, who's the the more accomplished fighter and bigger draw? Who's the fighter Kovalev's been calling out, who's the fighter that can move up and get a shot without working his way up the rankings? It sure aint Barrera because he doesn't have the pull.Comment

I think it's 2M for every fight. If you are making that kind of money and the opponent isn't making a minimum of 500K.....you are going to have a hard time finding any willing participants I think.Comment

Who out there aside from Floyd Mayweather actually has any say in what their opponents are making? Let's not act like any of these fighters are sitting down going "well I think the guy i'm fighting deserves a bit more". I agree, it would be great of Ward to give up some of his purse to give to his opponent to secure a fight, but who in their right mind would. That's your managers job to get you more money.Comment

Have you ever wondered why that fighter doesn't just take the shot Kovalev is offering him, instead of messing around trying to do tune-ups against the likes of Periband, Brand, Barrera, and that Australian kid the NSAC turned down because it would have been such a mismatch?Comment

... and does it look to you like Ward is trying hard in finding any opponents for a fight soon?Comment
