  • Max Kellerman says Luis Ortiz has superior skills to Tyson Fury and would beat him

Do you agree? I don't. I think Tyson Fury's boxing skills are at least equal to Luis Ortiz, probably better.

I also think he beats Fury for the reasons he stated. He also never said "easily" unless I missed something.

Fury is an overachiever. Like Froch was. Who knows how far that takes him. I wouldn't know who to favor in a match against Ortiz.

I see people are still underestimating Fury's boxing skills.

I can't help it. I've seen plenty of his fights and I still don't get it. Outside of his last fight with Del boy hes never really impressed me. No disrespect to him, because he keeps proving me wrong. He's clearly better than I can see.

I believe a lot depends on how he is able to deal with the south paw stance. That will be a factor in most matchups with Ortiz.

Some of us aren't underestimating his skills, but more so how pathetic Wlad was in there. I know for a fact, Ortiz will go in swinging and make it a brawl. Unlike Klitschko..

You can say Fury's chin is whatever you want, but it's a fact that it's possible to put him down.

              Ortiz is #1

People been saying Klitschko was gonna KO Fury for years. Probably including Max. Fury is more skilled & more tricky than he's given credit for & I think his biggest threat right now is probably Joshua, who may or may not be as advertised (& 2yrs away) cuz he's not really been fully tested although the Whyte fight moved him up a lil ways more in my eyes, & probably himself with being lazy & unfocused & letting one of these Wilder or Ortiz type guys with some power catch him slacking.

Having said that Ortiz is being WAY over hyped by fans + HBO. He's turning 37 in a couple months & burning daylight on making something happen in the game. I believe he somehow got a #1 abc spot doe (how he did that with his resume, previous to Jennings, is proof of corruption more than incompetence) so he's getting his shot probably sometime in 2016, early 2017 most likely, but the reality is Jennings was his first elite level guy he beat & journeyman Zack Page is probably the 3rd best guy he's beaten.

As for the fight I see Fury having Cuban George Foreman throwing slightly more punches than Klitschko did & looking every bit his 37, 38 years, by the time they fight, while he's slogging around the ring before he gives an ode to Manny by saying "if Tyson had stayed still he woulda won" in the post-fight interview.

I'm too lazy to look it up but "something something Jorge Linares is like Roberto Duran."
