But if you're talking about a regular street fight, or stepping into a ring, I don't care how big you are a pro like Pacquiao would KO you within a minute. Heck Ponce de Leon would crush you.

I took up boxing when I was younger, and while I would say I was OK at it, I was not great. I could handle myself with the average guy, but the second they put me in there with a guy who was competing in the local golden gloves or city tournaments, I'd get my arse kicked. The speed, punching power, movement, and their ability to handle punches was so superior. And keep in mind this was at the golden gloves, and local amateur tournaments.
I can only imagine what the olympic and pros are like. Trust me these guys even small guys would KO 200lb average guys.

I honestly might have to switch up gyms though. Heavyweights down here in Tucson are too fragile. I think the programs overseas like in the UK and Germany have better fighters IMO. But then again i've only been back in the states for a year.

That guy has his way of thinking and I don't agree with it. Of course a good 175 pound boxer can beat any boxer 50 pounds or more lighter than him. That doesn't make him a better fighter in my book. The biggest fight in MMA history was between two 145 pounders. The biggest fight in boxing history was between Pacquiao and Mayweather at a weight of 147 pounds. Clearly the buying public doesn't agree that bigger is always better. In all combat sports and weight lifting they have weight classes and great fighters or lifters can show up in any weight class big or small. I didn't vote in the poll because the choice was too difficult. Kovalev has a near perfect record and he did everything right from his first pro fight. He is still in his late prime. Pacquiao is well past prime so right now Kovalev might be a better light heavyweight than Pacquiao is a welterweight. Pacquiao has had an amazing career but in the early days he had it very rough. He was too poor to eat well and get good help with his training and fighting. He took some loses. Later when he hooked up with Roach and was in his prime he was an amazing fighter and nearly unbeatable. Kovalev has a few prime or near prime years left to add to his resume and his resume is damn good right now. Their stories and careers are too different for me to say who is better but they are both damn good.
