While size isn't the be all end all, it matters.
Just because Kovalev can beat Pacquiao doesn't mean he's a better fighter than Pacquiao, just means he is a heck of a lot bigger and stronger. Nobody in their right mind will say when it's all said and done that a guy like say Devon Alexander is better than Ivan Calderon just because if they met on the street he might beat him. Ivan is clearly the superior fighter

IF there were no weight divisions,
THEN kovalev is a better fighter than pacquiao.
