Well good thing WBO doesn't recognize the WBA regular when there's a super champion.
ANyway, if this goes to purse bids, SHowtime will really really want this fight... since they didn't have anything good happen to the this year

So stop with this he sold cheap seats. The avg ticket price for GGG vs Lemiux was about $100. Jacobs would need all 8k of his tickets to be over $300 to generate 2mil gate. By the way there were tickets on sale at ticketmaster the day of the jacobs fight for 20 bucks. Many tickets still available since they only sold half as many tickets as the arena they were in. Showtime has not released the gate figures and probably never will because the attendance was terrible. Point is more people wanted to go see GGG then jacobs and it had nothing to do with ticket prices lolLast edited by bigdunny1; 12-09-2015, 08:24 PM.

Well well well, Jacobs' own trainer rated Lemieux over Quillin & Jacobs. But Rozier is calling for 50/50 money. Maybe that happens if Haymon wins the bid and puts up ridiculous amount. Also, if Lee beats BJS (I don't think he will), Lee would starch Jacobs. BJS beats Danny as well, maybe by stoppage even.

He waited until he had no other choice but to finally fight Jacobs. It should've happened years ago.

There's a reason Oscar, Floyd, Chavez Jr., Gamboa, Rigo, Mikey Garcia, etc. have left TR. How many fighters does Don King have left? Imagine if LeBron signed a contract to only play games on TNT, or Cam Newton signed a contract to only play games on the NFL Network. Boxing is a mess, and has been a mess, and Al Haymon is just a part of the problem and not THE PROBLEM!
Al Haymon pays his guys well but in my opinion they could make more. Not saying getting an average pay of a million to two million isn't great because it is. I just wish that some of his guys realize that they could make that Canelo/Cotto money and list goes on for HBO fighters.
My entire point of this entire topic was it's a 2 way street. Al Haymon needs HBO and so does HBO. They need to find more fights for their top flight guys. But also the promotional companies tied to HBO need Showtime, etc.....to show more of there young up and coming talent.
