For their best interests I guess

Big 2015 for Quillin and Stiverne didn't catch that L, keeping his career afloat-ish

Golovkin would have the same issues fighting Lara as he would fighting Jacobs. If he could fight Lara, then there'd be no reason not to fight Jacobs asap.

I still don't see how Andy fights Jacobs. Any scenario you run it comes out Lee/Canelo/GGG. Any combination of those guys is a unification fight and would make Jacobs being GGG's mandatory a moot point, at least for now, and that is assuming they even order the fight and what kind of timeline they set. If the Canelo fight does'nt happen for GGG, you are going to get Johnson in February and Andy in May/June, and then maybe Jacobs. If the Canelo fight happens, Lee likely takes a bit of a soft touch somewhere around April/May and waits for the winner late next year. Why would Andy risk hitting the jackpot, for a fight with Jacobs? It makes absolutely no sense.

The most likely scenario of Jacobs getting a crack at the WBO title is if Saunders beats Lee. Even that, given BJS interviews, is highly unlikely. Unless someone is willing to break the bank to bring BJS over for a big fight, he will be hiding out for a while.

Well, gotta take the good with the bad i guess. Maybe we'll actually get GGG/Jacobs on PBC and Kovalev/Stevenson on HBO.

That makes sense. Or he could make a deal for a Canelo fight. It's better for dibella and his fighters money wise to pursue either of these fights rather than a GGG fight, especially given HBO has reduced its budget.

Johnson and Hieland will come very cheap.

and we know about quillin his wife giving birth etc etc or whatever excuse he used. & korobov is a bum btw who hasn't fought since getting stopped by lee.

                but again...
HBO are the ones who approve & deny fights... way more times than Haymon.

Any source for that? Their viewership for boxing is up.

King works under Haymon and they scrambled to put together that last second fight vs Rossy. King said some bs that he wanted Stieverne on tv, and then the Rossy fight got moved off tv, lol.

Quillin was gun ho about Jay-Z getting his fight for that money, then Roc Nation reported that they were unable to get Quillin to return their calls. Quillin admitted on TBV that he had a meeting with Haymon and took some step aside money for turning down the fight. All his excuses came out later. Quillin never even tried to negotiate a later date like a fighter would with an injury, he simply dropped the title.

HBO has been operating with a reduced budget for at least a year. Everyone knows that.
