He gets credit for sticking it out and winning against Ruslan, who was at the height of his hype train
He gets credit for merely finishing the Pacquaio fight (that tells you how low expectations were)
He gets credit for being scrappy with Khan and making him uncomfortable

      At the same time

His decision against Ruslan was hotly debated and a split decision iirc
He got knocked down 6 times against Manny. Manny's sparring partners did better than Chris
Arguable one of Khan's worst nights and one of Chris's best, but Chris couldn't do anything to Khan

I root for Chris because he's NY, but no, he's not that good.

He may not be a great fighter but I'd take him to beat Broner and Garcia, 2 hyped up guys here on NSB.

Broner is so inactive I really think Algieri could outwork him and win a decision. Wouldn't mind seeing either fight.

Larry, quote me a single poster who labelled Algieri a "top guy". A regular poster btw, not some alt.

I'd be curious who said it, as I havent seen anyone call him a top fighter although many have rightfully given him credit for beating Ruslan and putting on a terrific showing (imo a win) against Khan.

You're gonna label Algieri a novice for being dropped by Pacquiao? Pac's dropped everyone from Morales to JMM to Cotto. Multiple times in some cases, so yeah, read up fella.

It just goes to show the quality of posters on here when they think a 5'5'' Broner can beat a 5'11'' Algieri

Size doesn't mean everything but that long jab and movement and now him sitting down on his punches added with the fact that Broner doesn't do anything 75% of the time adds up to a victory IMO.

A 5 inch difference at least means everything in a fight when you don't hit particular hard, have **** stamina and almost got beat by Paulie. Add t othat Chris' superior athleticism and it's an unwinnable fight for lil ABBY.
