Just because one fighter has a loss doesn't mean he's **** and so and so on...
Quillin is a good fighter he just got smoked out quick by a very good fighter, simple as that.

From looking at posts on this forum, it seems GGG is hated for the same racial insecurities that Ali and Mayweather were/are.

GGG is certainly contractually tied to HBO, and so far, it has helped his legacy more than harmed him(not to mention his wallet). But he needs to reevaluate his position if he wants certain fights, and I would have no problem with him going over to Haymon if he doesn't get the fights he needs on HBO.

Jacobs would make more money in single fights on HBO by fighting Canelo or GGG than anyone he can fight on PBC......real money, not Haymon bids millions for fights that can't happen on PBC money... but he cares more about uncle Al's approval and hey the man is paying him millions to fight his level of opposition...so if that's what he cares for that's cool. His legacy will suffer but he probably cares more about his bank account and his brain. I understand that, but then he or his fans have no leverage in boxing terms, since the other guys are on top and not him.

Jacobs already made a comment about money, but at least he's not making ridiculous "has to be Mayweather-Pacquiao money" comments like Quillin, who just let all of his insecurities show everytime he talked about Golovkin. Anyone who tries to use Quillin against GGG is just an idiot.

Only one person in this image looks scary, and guess who GGG signed to fight?
Jacobs is arguably in the same problem Golovkin is in at middleweight: outside of a few choice opponents (Lee-Saunders winner being the biggest one of them) there's not really anybody he can fight for big money. He can't fight Canelo until things change drastically between either Canelo and GBP or GBP and Haymon; neither situation seems like it will change any time soon. Remember that Jacobs was once one of Golden Boy's biggest prospects, Oscar isn't going to want to do business with him if it means risking his current Golden Boy.

He could fight Golovkin but that depends on how HBO's relationship with Haymon may change in the future or how Golovkin's contract pans out. I don't think Golovkin has any intention to leave HBO for as long as they're backing him, and I think they will back him until he decisively loses. I think he'll learn the same thing Tim Bradley did when he signed (and re-signed) to Top Rank: it's sometimes better to be a small team's third-highest priority than it is to be one of many expendable cogs in a bigger team.

I think HBO is a dealbreaker for Danny Jacobs-Golovkin. Haymon simply has no reason to let it happen on any platform that isn't the PBC brand, and HBO may not be too keen on lending credibility to their biggest competitor at the cost of their own brand. But maybe I'm wrong and it could work out. In the meantime though we will probably have to wait for Golovkin's contract with HBO to run out, which may not be anytime soon.

Outside of that, Jacobs is sort of stuck fighting GGG leftovers at this point. The division is pretty thin. Worse, every time Jacobs fights a GGG leftover he'll be compared unfavorably to GGG for taking his leavings, and something like that definitely WILL affect his drawing power and reputation in the sport. In the long run he can probably wait out Golovkin and make good money in the future, plus I suppose there are some guys like the Charlo brothers out there for him to have a go at.

A guy's always a bum the day after he gets knocked out. That's just the way our sport is. He can come back, lots of fighters have recovered from getting KO'd.

A week ago Quillin was a good enough fighter for GGG, I don't remember anyone calling him ****. He was on the level of Lemieux, and people thought he was a good fighter too until Quillin stopped him.

The best name on Quillin's record is Andy Lee and he drew that fight lol. He doesn't have Murray, Geale or Lemiuex on his win list and those three arguably have better records than Quillin himself, they certainly fought and were successful against comparable opponents. They are definitely better than any three other guys Quillin beat.

Quillin became the Haymon fan club's anti-Golovkin. It will be Jacobs now.

Lots of GGG detractors were saying this, "if he beats quillin, then I'll respect him, but he hasn't fought anyone yet". The funny thing about that comment isn't that they will give GGG respect if he beat Quillin, but saying GGG hasn't beaten anyone yet. Who in the hell has Quillin beat?
Since you just put that statment in quotation marks could you provide some of those quotes because no one seems to have any recollection of these comments.
