Right? Quillin is basically little more than a puncher. His resume isn't good, his skills aren't good, he looked like crap against everyone he has fought that is any good. People got it in their mind at one point that he had the same potential that Golovkin does and never let go of it, no matter how bad Quillin looked. Dude's no better than Geale, Murray, Macklin, or Lemieux. Hell, he wasn't any better than Rosado when they fought.

What made Quillin the guy to give GGG props if they fought?

Quillin was a former titleholder and was undefeated until this weekend...Also he presented problems GGG hasn't really dealt with....speed, power, height and reach
It was a good match up and Qullin was proven against top ten opposition...drew with Lee, beat former 154 champion Winky Wright, N'jikam, and a few common opponents with GGG
its not that hard to figure out that he would have been one of his better wins and opponents had it went down
Big ups to Danny Jacobs, a lot of people wrote him off because of his one loss and now they will do it to quillin. I'd like Jacobs and Quillin to do it again if Jacobs cant get the winner or Lee-Saunders or better yet feed him to GGG

while you're at it look up Adama's, Rosado's and Lemiuex's....you'll see his resume is better than theirs

The fact that the fight couldn't happen, so they could talk sh.it without the risk of having to give GGG credit....now they'll claim GGG is scared of Jacobs when Haymon bids unrrealistic numbers for a fight he knows HBO won't allow, and the idiots will claim GGG is scared of Dani, even though he signed to fight the guy who punched Jacobs so hard, he gave him cancer.

GGG already did this with Quillin so i can see it happening again.
Im ok with Jacobs v winner of upcoming MW fight.

GGG is certainly contractually tied to HBO, and so far, it has helped his legacy more than harmed him(not to mention his wallet). But he needs to reevaluate his position if he wants certain fights, and I would have no problem with him going over to Haymon if he doesn't get the fights he needs on HBO.
Jacobs would make more money in single fights on HBO by fighting Canelo or GGG than anyone he can fight on PBC......real money, not Haymon bids millions for fights that can't happen on PBC money... but he cares more about uncle Al's approval and hey the man is paying him millions to fight his level of opposition...so if that's what he cares for that's cool. His legacy will suffer but he probably cares more about his bank account and his brain. I understand that, but then he or his fans have no leverage in boxing terms, since the other guys are on top and not him.
Jacobs already made a comment about money, but at least he's not making ridiculous "has to be Mayweather-Pacquiao money" comments like Quillin, who just let all of his insecurities show everytime he talked about Golovkin. Anyone who tries to use Quillin against GGG is just an idiot.
Only one person in this image looks scary, and guess who GGG signed to fight?
