What made Quillin the guy to give GGG props if they fought?

You start at age 22, with little to no amateur background, just 15 am fights, you better have some extremely good talent. I mean these Mexican fighters like Canelo have little amateur background as well but they start in their teens. Quillin is learning on the job, that's why he is so average. He is learning as he fights and he started old. Even Hopkins had a 95-4 record before becoming pro at a late age.

If all it takes is one poster to show that "Everyone was saying beating Quillin would be the fight GGG gets props for"..then I imagine what two posts of Ward fans would do:
I dont write down lists of all the people talking smack, because its always the same. Blah blah blah ggg fought nobody blah blah blah (insert fighter name) has much better resume doe blah blah blah

most of it goes in one ear and out the other......

Haters wanted GGG to prove himself against these elite guys but haters got owned when Jacobs KO'd Quillin at the weekend and they'll get owned again when Saunders beats Lee next week.

GGG's resume will continue to grow stronger and the hating voices will continue to get quieter.

        Gawd damn haters man.
jesus I hope not. If that happens the WBO belt will be held hostage for the next 2 years or more, because Saunders has made it quite clear that he's not interested in fighting anyone with a pulse......

Lee winning is the only chance of a possible title unification this year, and even thats no guarantee because Haymon might throw ****** money at him to fight Jacobs....

So do you think Quillin is a name that the majority of GGG detractors say would be a good win for him? You're not really denying or confirming anything here.

GGG has fought no elite fighter. Lara is the closest to GGG's weight who we want GGG to fight. And before you say, well Lara is a Haymon fighter, your friends are saying that Jacobs, a Haymon managed fighter, will duck GGG.

when you say "we", you are referring to about 7 guys on a message board, not the public in general. The average casual fan doesnt have a clue who Lara is, and if they do its "oh was that the guy that ran from canelo?" There is NO public demand for the fight, and I would suspect that HBO (who calls the shots) has about ZERO interest in that fight

As for Jacobs, I dont know if he will "duck" GGG. The WBA convention is next week, and they will decide whats what. My guess is its a moot point as I suspect they might order Jacobs-Blanco first, and let GGG handle his IBF mando.

But as for "ducking", K2 has never walked away from a purse bid they lost. The one with the history of doing that is Haymon. So who knows. If the WBA orders the fight, and it goes to bid, hopefully K2 can work something out with HBO to allow them to take the fight off HBO if they lose the bid.

We'll see in the next couple of weeks

Do you believe that only 7 people want to see Lara vs GGG? Or is that more of an insult to someone who you feel is a threat to a fighter you like a lot?

never came across anyone who thought that. Those who did no one respects their opinion anyway and all have red bars.

Those were low iQ Floydturds who came to that conclusion

Well I can truthfully say this, and Im not trying to be a wise guy, outside of this forum, not a single person I interact with has ever said they want to see that fight. That goes for casuals as well as industry people that I speak with often.

But Ive said many times, if the powers that be want to make that fight, I'll certainly watch it. I just believe the only purpose for the fight would be to silence the "but but but but lara doe" crowd, but who are we kidding. After GGG puts Lara in the 3rd row, they will become "ggg picking on 154 doe" or some other ****** ****.

I just dont see the point of constantly debating a fight that has little, if any, chance of being made. HBO knows Lara would stink up the joint. HBO knows that anything the zombie Angulo can do, GGG can do 100x better. Its simply not a compelling fight to the masses, and more importantly its not a compelling fight to the shot callers.

Its really absurd when people say this fighter is scared of that fighter, and blah blah blah. The only thing more ******ed than that though is saying that fans of a certain fighter are scared of a particular fight. That has to be the single most idiotic thing Ive ever heard. Why would a fan be scared of a fight? We're not the ones getting hit. Sure, I like GGG, but the truth is that if he loses a fight it doesnt impact my life 1 bit. I'll still like him, and I'll still watch his next fight.

Quillin never wanted to fight GGG anyway. I thought Quillin was overrated and thought Jacobs was going to knock him out. I know that is easy to say after the fight is over but I really did pick Jacobs because Quillin is slow and easy to hit and Jacobs is much faster and more skilled. Quillin hasn't got many good wins and he drew with Lee who lost to Chavez by KO. I am happy for Jacobs who is a humble classy guy. Quillin always came off as a bragger and a bully to me anyway. He never stopped crying about how rough his life was but lots of people have a rough life besides Quillin.
