LOL it's so funny how this myth of a "PPV bomb" keeps getting thrown around by people who have an irrational hatred for Golovkin.

Officially, it did 150K. But some people think executives of a publicly traded company are willing to risk being sued by Time-Warner shareholders for fraud because they love GGG that much that they're willing to risk their jobs (LOL) and it's all a grand conspiracy to cover up the true # of 97K.

Let's split the difference for the sake of argument and say it did 125K.

So, you don't think they cleared more than $500K on a sold out MSG and selling the foreign broadcast rights the nearly 90 countries across the world in which the fight was viewed?

I like Jacobs and i think he presents a interesting fight for GGG. Don't care who wins since im not invested in either fighter. But agree to disagree that Quillin is a better win than any fighter in GGG's resume.

I guess that why we needed him to fight Ward, to see if that was the case. The weight difference and the talent/skill difference would force GGG to utilize more skills than he needs to beat the string of huge underdogs he has defeated.

I would think his fans would want to see that more than another easy KO. No one is denying GGG's talent and skill, just want to see him use them against better comp.

$2m is the absolutely high end demand for a fighter like Jacobs who isn’t a big name. How many middleweights have made $2m recently? Chavez Jr, and maybe Golovkin after whatever the PPV paid out against Lemieux (not much I expect). I don’t think Sergio had a $2m guarantee in his whole career. Only the late career PPVs put him in that territory.

Jacobs is entitled to look for as much as he can get. But there is such a thing as a reasonable offer. And there is such a thing as an unreasonable demand. Anything around $1.5m is a ‘reasonable’ offer for a guy with Jacob’s profile. I’m sure he’d like more but nobody should be under any obligation to give it to him.

What position do you hold to tell a professional boxer what his "reasonable" pay should be? Do you have monetary documentations or evidence of what Jacobs is asking and what's "resaonable" and "unreasonable?"
