LOL it's so funny how this myth of a "PPV bomb" keeps getting thrown around by people who have an irrational hatred for Golovkin.

Officially, it did 150K. But some people think executives of a publicly traded company are willing to risk being sued by Time-Warner shareholders for fraud because they love GGG that much that they're willing to risk their jobs (LOL) and it's all a grand conspiracy to cover up the true # of 97K.

Let's split the difference for the sake of argument and say it did 125K.

Anybody know what # Manny Pacquaio did the first time he headlined a PPV? 125K

Saying quillin is better than the guys GGG beat is not the same thing as saying he is a top quality fighter FFS.
just when you think you've heard every excuse in the book......lol

Just the same i love to see the myth of the PPV made money.

also remember when everyone laughed at Espinoza saying he doesnt know what he is talking about. Same kind of executive but oh this time "its different"

I consolidated the responses into one. Check it and respond.

Just please do not pretend I said anything glowing about quillin when I didn't.

of course you want to be compensated for this fight.... nobody wants to be like Wilie Monroe Jr.

But after the 1.5 million he got from Showtime....yea,this fight ain't happening
Wth 1.5 should have got 300k tops

You are pretending I said quillin was good or quality when I didn't.
I never said you said quillin was good but a win over him > GGG entire resume? So just put Jacobs #1 if you feel that way.

you don't think one could argue 6 KD's in a fight that goes 12 rds could take a lot out of a fighter?

You drawing that conclusion and then arguing it is straight up deflective BS. At no point was the debate about who the top ranked MW is.

I simply responded to the poster that Quillin was better win than what is on GGG's resume. IMO (and others) GGG has not fought a great resume. some of that is because of politics, some is avoidance from other fighters, and some is his choice to not fight better fights.

I would favor GGG over Jacobs, but that doesn't change my opinion on who GGG faced.

I like Jacobs and i think he presents a interesting fight for GGG. Don't care who wins since im not invested in either fighter. But agree to disagree that Quillin is a better win than any fighter in GGG's resume.

Quillin wanted $5 millions for fighting GGG.
