Comments Thread For: DeGale Details First Meeting With 'Mad Looking' Al Haymon

JAMES DEGALE has recalled his first meeting with “mad looking” Al Haymon and revealed why he decided to join the influential advisor's ever-growing list of clients.

DeGale banked $1.5m when Warriors Boxing, via Haymon, won the purse bid to stage the fight against Andre Dirrell for the vacant IBF super-middleweight title in March.

Good to see DeGale making some serious money and being involved in big fights after a few years in the doldrums.

    Badou Jack next please.

Might sounds like a weird question but has Haymon signed any white fighters?

                "basically a billionaire"

I wonder how true that is.

                One day...

I will say it's good that DeGale is getting his recognition he deserves and getting paid for the fruits of his labor.

It's unfortunate that he probably will only get matched with PBC guys as its looking.

That's the thing that bothers me about all these promotional issues.

Eventually the majority of the top boxers/talent will run out of elite fighters to make great fights with and when that happens the money will become less and less.

You will see less boxers making that elite money that Money May and Oscar made on the sport unfortunately. But you will hopefully see guys get paid more around that million to 2 million per fight at least.
