Damn, I didn't know Nova lost. Well, looks like he will be going pro soon, hopfully he makes better management decision than imam did.

That gyms style is better suited for pro anyway, but I feel bad for these guys who chase Olympic dreams and don't make it, they work hard for it, for years.
    Rochester.

He's still in it. Gotta lose twice to be out.

Gotcha, yeah I don't pay a ton of attention to Olympic trials. Nova is a really good kid though, very similar to imam with his work ethic and drive.

I remember years ago a really good Rochester fighter, think his name was Marcus Giles? I thought he was going to be really good pro, but I guess he went with the the hood life instead.

Rochester is a weird place. But honestly most of upstate is pretty weird. I didnt realize how different upstate people were until i moved to fhe city.

I call it ****** redneck. Your rednecks do and like a lot of ****** ish, and a lot of ****** dudes dress and act redneck in a lot of ways.

There is a Darnell Jiles. Went 8-0 in his 1st year pro & has went 1-4-2 in the last 8 years. Think there is a younger Jiles who was doing some damage in the JO level amateurs thats just sort of disappeared too.

Definitely a weird place. I can point you to a nice hunting or fishing spot in the country & a good spot to pick up whatever drug you want from weed to heroin in the city & they are both within ~2 miles of me.

          Yep, sounds like Albany.

Except Rochester has a weird culture where a lot of people think they are in a fashion magazine no matter how ****** they are. They all pose and act like they are in a vogue magazine but it's all cheap **** they are wearing.

I seen a dude there with black skinny jeans, a blue bandana hanging out, and some sharp toed puma sneakers on. Like... WTF?

And yeah it was Jiles, he actually fought a guy for the olympic trials years ago vs Mike Faragon from my gym. Mike got the decision, most of us thought Jiles won.

Eh, some good UFC fights on around that time I'm thinking. Hope someone records that & throws it in the video forum.

Clarissa Shields bf, Ardreal Holmes (Michigan mfers!!!!) took down the 152lb winners brackets earlier today so he's 1 fight away from fighting in the Olympic Qualifiers.
