Baldomir is the linear champion, he beat the man who beat the man, and so on. If Gatti beats him, he could and should be the recognized champion. Mayweather cant even call himself a champ, he won a title that was "handed" back to the loser, after the winner did not pay the sanctioning fees.

which is perfectly fine, because we all know Mayweather is the best at 147. Gatti will eventually lose at 147, probably to a Margarito or a Hatton, at which point Mayweather needs to fight the winner to be considered undisputed at 147. Mayweather wants DLH next anyway so who cares? trust me, we will not have to watch Mayweather-Gatti II
