Says the person with Baldomir in his avatar.Originally posted by DiegoFuegowhat the hell is your problem? it's not about the belts. Zab was the champ and Baldomir beat him. Baldomir is the recognized Undisputed Welterweight champion. you're biased as hell, man.Comment

Someone apparently does not understand boxing and how championship lineages work.Originally posted by SoFlyyyLOL, what you just said that you place the belts higher than performance. Baldo beat Zab. Floyd beat Gatti and Zab. Baldo is going to lose to Baldy.
You're praising Baldo to criticize Judah. It's so obvious.
The reason for any confusion is because Mayweather went ahead with the Judah fight instead of fighting Baldomir. Baldomir chose Gatti because it meant more $$. Notice a common theme with any and all fighters that Floyd proposes a fight with? "They priced themselves out." Yeah, I'm suuuure they did. What you meant to say was that they didn't sign for peanuts.
Baldomir is the champ at 147, period. If Gatti beats him, then he will be the champ. Floyd fought the LOSER and Gatti fought the WINNER. Wow, that's a tough concept, eh?

1. Baldomir is the welterweight champion (because he beat Judah)
2. IfGatti beats Baldomir he will be welterweight champ
3. PBF is the best welterweight in the world (He comprehensively beat Judah and Gatti)
I don't understand this debate. Champion and best are not always the same guyComment

You're confusing "belts" with "linear championships." They are vastly different.Originally posted by SoFlyyyNo, that's not in dispute. Brian "Biased" Kenny equates belts and best fighter. That's not the case. With an idiot like Kenny, Floyd would need to beat Gatti again for him to call Floyd the best.
Ring Magazine usually doesn't play that childish game. Having the belt doesn't always mean you're the best.
The lineage doesn't change because a champion lost to some guy a year or so before. If Gatti wins, he is the linear champion, and that is that. What you're proposing is pretty funny...if a fighter wins a championship and he's already lost to you, then that championship immediately becomes yours??? LOL Stop being silly, please.Comment

LOL, no joke. Does that mean Mayweather holds the WBC Lightweight title since he beat Corrales? If Mayweather goes back to 135, is he automatically the linear champion? Fly is so biasedOriginally posted by ZookeeperYou're confusing "belts" with "linear championships." They are vastly different.

Floyd is the 147 pound champ,Gatti will not be,evr1 is jus assuming Gatti beats Baldomir, that'd be funny if Baldy wonComment

Why does he need to destroy Gatti AGAIN to be the man? That's the question.
Originally posted by GodzHandI'm going to have to agree. Obviously Floyd is better than Gatti, and destroyed him in their fight, but if Judah was the Undisputed Welter champ, and Baldomir beat him, then Baldomir is the man right now. If Gatti beats Baldomir, like it or not, Gatti's the man. Then likely, Mayweather will destroy Gatti again, and then Mayweather will be the man.Comment
