First of all, don't count your chickens before they hatch. Baldomir just beat Judah- he can certainly beat Gatti. This will probably be a war, and eventually the wars have to catch up with Gatti. We are going to see him get old instantly in the ring, and it could be against Baldomir. I'm actually amazed it hasn't happened yet.

But the real reason for the confusion was Floyd fighting Judah instead of Baldomir. That was Floyd's choice. If he wants the real championship then he'll have to fight the winner of Gatti-Baldomir. THAT is why you don't make big showcase fights with losers if what you are going for is championships. Nobody to blame by Floyd.

Baldomir beat Judah and is now the man to beat at 147. He is the linear champ. I don't give a **** if Judah got the belt back because of bull**** sanctioning fees that Baldomir was unable to pay. Baldomir is the champion and until someone beats him (I don't think Gatti will) it's gonna stay that way.

Obviously Mayweather will likely beat him but UNTIL he does, Baldomir is the champion.

Man, by your logic Wladimir Klitschko should be the undisputed heavyweight champion since it's obvious he's better than the other titleholders at the moment.

There is a reason we have these fights rather than just decide for ourselves who is the best and who deserves the title.

belt's don't matter in this day and age, especially when there is many of them floating around. the ring championship belt is all i need to define a champion.

I think Fly doesn't know the difference between being the best and being the champ. There IS a difference. Mayweather is the best, Baldomir is the champ. Be mad at Floyd for fighting Judah instead of Baldomir. Who would choose to fight the LOSER?! Says a lot about Mayweather and Gatti's mindsets if you ask me. Gatti wanted the winner, Mayweather wanted the loser.

I know there is a difference. Brian Kenny doesn't. Brian Kenny thinks person with belt = best. He's a ****ing caveman. That's the point of my thread.

Judah was the undisputed champ at 147.Baldomir beat Judah making him the champ even if he doesn't have all three of the belts that Judah owned. If Gatti beats Baldomir it makes him the champ.Doesn't mean he's the best at 147 but still he would be the recognized champion.

yeah but the title of the thread says Kenny will recognize Gatti as the champ...which is what should happen

I think you got beef with Kenny for exposing Floyd for fighting losers on ESPN and forcing Floyd to counter with the always pitiful, "Well...YOU'VE NEVER BOXED BEFORE! So there!"

Brian Kenny should have said, "Well...you've never COMMENTATED BEFORE!" because it's not like it matters one way or the other. Mayweather is the best fighter in the world, but he fights losers.
