Well, you can certainly make the case for that. I'm just saying it might be a stretch.

Beating floyd in a rematch. Become undisputed mw champ with wins over ggg and lee-Saunders winner. Defend the title against maybe the jacobs-quillen winner. Going up to a third division would solidify it as well. He can cherrypick abraham for his 168 lb title.

I don't exactly rate Pascal and 50yr old Hopkins that highly.

I don't rank boxers based on the point of view of corrupt judges.
At best, I can give Canelo draws against Lara and Trout, and that's only to be generous so I don't have to face the wrath of his fanboys who think he won those fights by barely landing anything.

So, Canelo's two best wins are Cotto and Kirkland. Golovkin's best wins are Murray and Lemieux. There is not much of a difference. But Golovkin is undefeated and has a higher KO percentage and generally is a better fighter, there is a reason Canelo fears him. Having Canelo above Golovkin is ******ed.

As for Kovalev, his resume is much better than Canelo's AND Golovkin's.
