Don't make an offer because it might get turned down.

Don't fight Lara because the fans might discredit the win.

    Fight Teurano Johnson instead!
He fights Johnson over Lara or someone else I lose all respect for GGG. I'm done with the the 35 year old, 10 year pro. With ZERO real opponents. I've seen 25 years old with better resume them his by FAR.

He's 33. And as for the 25 year old with the better resume by far,he's too scared to even mention golovkins name without adding "155" into the mix.

A toss-up with Canelo, a domination of trout, world titles, amateur titles...

What do Murray or Macklin have that can be put in the same breath as that?

            Come on mate, fair's fair.

Murray was the highest ranked MW available when GGG fought him, and Lemieux was a unification fight.

Both were tougher opponents, at 160, than Lara would be.

It's easy when one side comes in with the stand point we are not fighting on HBO and you have a contract with HBO and can only fight on HBO what is the point? Lara ain't no Mandatory and there is no purse bid so why are we talking about Lara? Especially when besides Lara running his mouth which he loves to do we don't even know if haymon wants this fight at all. If Johnson gets the fight it will fulfill a mandatory defense that's the only reason he would get a fight. If Lara wants to go that route move to 160 beat some guys and force a mandatory shot. But you can't bypass all that because you say so and especially when you ain't on the same page with your adviser that won't let his fighters fight on HBO in the first place.

Why would Beterbiev take less money for it?
Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather win the belt with honour in the ring than play games to get a guy stripped. And how much more money? The purse bid would probably be 3 million so beterbiev would get $250,000 more than he's already been offered. That might be a short term gain, but in the long run winning a belt in a conference room won't make him the top attraction actually beating kovalev would. Beating kovalev would be a huge deal.

As someone who likes Golovkin, I just don't understand why some act like that fight has to be at 160 or no fight.

GGG is on record as saying he can do 154-168 for a big PPV fight. Is Canelo not a big PPV fight and by far the biggest fight available? Yet team GGG said last week they wouldn't even do it at 158, why?

Canelo has never said he was going to fight at 160, even before Golovkin became truly relevant.
