Ok, I understand your points, I just think you are underestimating the gap between Canelo and GGG.

What you are suggesting is fair, but history and experience teach us that "fair" is not how the game works.

The bottom line is Floyd is gone, Manny is on the way out and Canelo beat Cotto. He has the qwan. If GGG wants it, he is being told what he can do to get his chance.

He can always say no and take his chances.

You stated that Pac was entitled to demand a catchweight from Cotto simply because Manny had no intention of staying at welter..... despite the fact that he did indeed remain at welter.

But now, even though Canelo has publicly stated that he has NO interest in middleweight..... you strongly object to a catchweight for that fight..... despite Golovkin recently stating that he can beat anyone at 154.

Then GGG wouldn't have accepted the fight. Why fight floyd at 154 for 1-2 millions if he can gain 1-2 millions at his natural weight.
