They (GBP) need GGG to slow down and get abit older before they make this fight, that's what they mean by marinate.

Canelo pays GGG some step aside money to hang onto the title for now, and fights someone else on cinco de mayo. Meanwhile GGG does the Johnson IBF mando in Feb, tries to get the Lee-Saunders winner in May/June, and GGG-Canelo meet in September for all 4 belts.

As much as I'd like to see GGG get the Canelo fight next, I would be ok with this situation, as long as everyone held up their end and there was no foolishness

They just did the step aside thing for the Cotto/Canelo fight and look how that turned out for GGG, Cotto dropped the belt and refused to pay the step aside money now Canelo has the belt and still wont commit to fighting him. If GGG lets them get away with that he's a fool and would deserved to get played because that's exactly what would happen again. Canelo will really look bad if the GGG fight doesn't happen now anyway.

And these posters, who are advocating catchweights within the same division like it is some "reasonable" thing, are agenda-driven. There is no excuse for cw in the mandatory title fight. Vacate the belt if you don't care about it. Then if you grow the b**ls to fight GGG and want a catchweight - make a proposal. He can always fight the Jacobs-Quillin winner, or check if andy lee is interested at 160, Rosado etc there are a lot of fringe, war torn, gate-keepers that he can fight at 160 to test the waters.

GBP won't be working with Haymon any time soon.

Lee a possibility I suppose but if he ducks Golovkin, then I don't think he'll be going up to 160.

GGG vs Canelo for Middleweight Championship

Cong**** to Canelo for his victory over Cotto. I guess I really shouldn't be shocked that everyone now thinks he's a World Beater. Just look at what's real.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, Oscar Ran from Felix Trinidad the last 6 Rounds, and that Cost him the Fight. Honestly, where was all the Action in the Canelo-Cotto Fight. Look how much Bigger Canelo was, and couldn't knock out Cotto. Now the mere Mention of GGG is Comical to me.
