They (GBP) need GGG to slow down and get abit older before they make this fight, that's what they mean by marinate.

Will the WBC stick by their word? Will GGG give up some pounds to make the fight happen? We'll have to stay tuned to find out.

As much as I'd like to see GGG get the Canelo fight next, I would be ok with this situation, as long as everyone held up their end and there was no foolishness
They just did the step aside thing for the Cotto/Canelo fight and look how that turned out for GGG, Cotto dropped the belt and refused to pay the step aside money now Canelo has the belt and still wont commit to fighting him. If GGG lets them get away with that he's a fool and would deserved to get played because that's exactly what would happen again. Canelo will really look bad if the GGG fight doesn't happen now anyway.

... Oscar might reiterate his offer to fight Golovkin himself, instead of letting Canelo get slaughtered at this young age. The result: GGG ducking De La Hoya.

This summer, Oscar just called GGG out... His desperation might be bigger these days.

He can go kick rocks, and end his career having never faced a world-class opponent.

Golovkin will ALWAYS be the subject of controversy, most will regard him as a paper champ / fun fighter..... like Gatti, except without the fanbase
All these scenarios are trying to leave GGG out in the cold. Like fighting Lee - snatching unification bout from GGG. And these posters, who are advocating catchweights within the same division like it is some "reasonable" thing, are agenda-driven. There is no excuse for cw in the mandatory title fight. Vacate the belt if you don't care about it. Then if you grow the b**ls to fight GGG and want a catchweight - make a proposal. But in this case GGG will be the champion already and this proposal better be good. If you are not ready to fight a middleweight champion at middleweight limit, go try to sell this "lineal" sham. It seriously lost its luster after what Martinez and Cotto done with it.

GBP won't be working with Haymon any time soon.

Lee a possibility I suppose but if he ducks Golovkin, then I don't think he'll be going up to 160.

GGG vs Canelo for Middleweight Championship

Cong**** to Canelo for his victory over Cotto. I guess I really shouldn't be shocked that everyone now thinks he's a World Beater. Just look at what's real.
First Oscar comes out and says Boxing will be so much better without Mayweather because he was Boring, and a Runner. Well, if I'm not mistaken, Oscar Ran from Felix Trinidad the last 6 Rounds, and that Cost him the Fight. Honestly, where was all the Action in the Canelo-Cotto Fight. Look how much Bigger Canelo was, and couldn't knock out Cotto. Now the mere Mention of GGG is Comical to me. Oscar will have Canelo avoid him like the Plague, or else his New Meal ticket gets Destroyed. All you Boxing Fans who truly want Canelo vs GGG, speak up and maybe Canelo will Fight him at Middleweight, and not try and Induce some 155 lb Catch Weight. That will be Canelo's Excuse. Stay tuned for the Oscar & Canelo Drama.
