Pretty sure Cotto will save $1,100,000 and not worry about GGG fans....

Canelo won't fight GGG in a hurry either. My guess is Cotto retires after this-he has had a good career and is at the end of his career.

Or if his mandatory was actually worried about getting belt wouldn't agreed to step aside and demanded his mando shot

So Golovkin didn't get the $800K? It was reported earlier that Golovkin was already paid the $800K, but if he wasn't, that's gotta be disappointing. Just another paper belt.

Cotto just tea bagged Mauricio in the chin. $1.1 is ridiculous amid some fighters don't even earn that in there career.

In watching videos of Cotto today he seems happy as fuc. He normal doesn't laugh out loud with people too much but today was different. Telling the WBC to fuc off and saving money made him a very happy camper. DLH tried to bring Cotto down with his idiotic comments but they had zero affect on the champ. Fuc you DLH, nice try.

That's the risk you take when you want to step aside instead of enforcing your mando shot

Well when it comes down to it, good for Cotto. The WBC allowed him to parade as their MW champion w/o enforcing their mandatory way too long in hopes of extorting him in this mega fight. Not many fighters would be allowed a year and a half w/o fighting their mandatory (Rubio was prior to Martinez/Cotto).

And he wouldn't make anywhere close to $20 million.

This was a brilliant chess move. Use the title to **** Canelo at the negotiation table then toss the belt in the garbage to save millions.
