I get it, but it's not apples to apples since Lara brings 10x in purse demands vs either guy, and not much else. A little resume boost, but with him moving up and not having much chance, not that much.

I don't think it's safe to say that. A better way of saying it is that he would probably be the most skilled fighter GGG has fought as a pro but at the same time he could get sparked in the first round so it's really hard to say how Lara would fair at middleweight against a guy like Golovkin. I just can't get the Angulo fight out of my mind where he was hurt, dropped and over powered early on. I think if this fight happens, for Lara's sake he really needs to fight once or twice at middleweight first, maybe he can pack on a little more muscle which would help him out.

But like I said before, if GGG can't get the fights he wants soon sure, fight Lara, it would be a name on his resume which helps against the criticism he receives.

Some say, (But what's Lara done at 160). He's done quite a bit right below and it's not like G monster has not fought lesser jr middleweights than Lara.

Maybe the networks?? They've all worked together before. Personally, I want to see it. I don't see why it's bad.
what has he done? He's had maybe 3 "big" fights: Canelo, Angulo and Trout. All 3 were close, against Angulo he got battered but ANgulo was faded and slow and didn't want to keep fighting. He didn't have enough dog in him to beat Canelo, especially the second half of the fight and he beat Trout. Some may mention the Williams fight but tha twas years ago and he lost.

He has never done enough. He has always been too close to his opponents, win or lose. Lara is spoken about as some skilled, slick fighter but when you get caught repeatedly by the slowest version of Angulo ever, you know you ain't that slick.

          2. If you're making 1m for bums, you're not getting knocked out by a huge favorite for less. Common sense, but you refuse to get it
          3. GGG is a good draw, Lara is a negative draw, #1 on anti Gatti list
          4. 1-3 is a lot of obstacles for a non competitive fight nobody cares about outside of boxing forums
Why did the PPV numbers increase for Canelo when he fought Lara over Angulo a more friendly fighter?

          Excuses

For GGG the most fear boxer sure has one of the more scare fans I've seen.
          So many excuses.

Lara - GGG would do better or equal PPV numbers than Lemiux - GGG, and money is not the problem, Lara took 1M to fight Canelo who is a way way bigger draw than GGG. Instead of Lemiux that got 1.5M and generated way less PPV money that Canelo - Lara.

If Lara hasn't done enough then what can you say about GGG opponents.
If you said Lara opposition is bad then GGG opposition is a joke.

"against Angulo he got battered" Please go and watch that fight again Lara was destroying Angulo all day and make Agulo face look worse by far than any GGG opponent even bloody Rosado.

"but Angulo drop Lara 2 times" yes, but both time with a over a minute and half left in the round he stood up, did not hold, did not run and actually finishing the round stronger.

You can watch the fight if you never watch it.

"Williams fight but tha twas years ago and he lost"

You lose all credibility here if you count that as a lost.

So far GGG opponents < Lara Opponents.

Well duh, Canelo sells way more PPVs than GGG. Angulo outsold Lara, and he was washed up and a non factor. I doubt HBO would put GGG Lara on PPV, you gotta have an established PPV draw to pull that. Face it, casuals that bought Canelo Lara are not buying more Lara fights, except a few that'd like to see him splattered.

Golovkin's people have zero interest. Shame, because Lara would be the best fighter he ever fought. If he can't get one of the beltholders next, he should at least try to fight Lara.

Exactly. That said, I'd likely pay to see Lara get splattered by GGG. If K2 can't get the winner of Cotto/Canelo i'd love to see Lara get a shot. Lara's going to yap and yap more than enough to piss off GGG. And all the GGG haters will be talking trash on the forum about how Lara schools GGG. It'll be a riot right up until that telling moment that happens in every GGG fight. You know, in between the first couple of rounds. The look on the opponent's face as he sits on his stool after Golovkin's figured him out and he's taken the first couple of solid shots. It's that dead man walking look. I'd definitely pay to see that.

Very few say Lara schools him, only some fly by night alts. Even the biggest GGG haters/Lara boosters here are like, I got GGG winning, but Lara could make him look bad for a few rounds, and maybe even run his way to a UD loss. If that's your best case scenario, it's a very hard sell to HBO for the money, and with all that baggage.

But maybe could happen on PBC if HBO is willing. I imagine they'd ask for the rights to Quillin/Jacobs in exchange.

                      Here's a better question

Why isn't Lara fighting the Charlo brothers,Jrock,Or any other 154 lb fighter on his side of the street? He's with Haymon and still can't get a good fight but he's supposed to just come over to HBO and fight GGG just like that ha?

They can't even make their own guys fight each other never mind guys from other promotional companies.
